So how was Glacier?
Fucking busy. Busy as in closest room in Conrad.
Well, so my trip back was not quite as fun as I had hoped, since I had that weird bug bite on my foot (which is better now, after a doc visit, and some super strong antibiotics ) Anyway, I did get all my photos up a day or 2 after the trip, and since I don't want to flood the forum with all 830~ photos and videos, y'all should just go to the gallery and flip thru the pages and see what I saw

(oh, and I have some video clips too!!! check these out for sure )
but here are some of the more memorable ones...
(the cool night shot stuff that I like to do)
a view of tent city...
(auto-stitch feature of my little point-n-shoot)
all the bacon we could ever hope for!
the budget side of camp....
a well timed shot...
tent city at night...
and of course, some light painting... (although our attempts at spelling other things later turned into a mess... but this one worked out)
so for the ride home, it was going to be ~100F... and we were going to be ATGATT, how do we prepare for such heat?
thanks for looking, it was a great time and a fun birthday party!!
and Kathryn had a great time too, especially being her first big ADV gathering, and first long-ish ride
it was great to see everyone again, and meet some new people for the first time!!!
It was great to meet y'all!
and I would say this pic has front page potential.
Yea, thats Ross , don't blink!
looks like a great time, sorry I missed it......
I got lucky and rode with MikefromMontana almost the whole time, wednesday we headed down to Bannack.
Supersuz joined us for a ride to Lake Como that afternoon.
Checked out Painted Rocks Lake
Thursday Parepin came along to Skalkalo Falls, then onto Granite ghost town.
mine superintendent's home in granite
view from mill
Friday a late start to Margruder Ranger Station, no pics, Saturday TrlRdr joined MikefromMT and I for a ride to a couple fire lookouts.
sula peak fire lookout
bare cone fire lookout
TrlRdr and I crossed Horse Creek Pass and then onto Shoup Idaho,
old time gas pumps still going
It was dusty and in the mid 90's, came back on the highway but hung around up on Lost Trail Pass until 630-7pm.
+1 home page material
Looks like they were OK, just shakin' it off...
This thread died since it got moved.
Why wasn't it placed in "Pics, Pics, Pics"?
Or Ride Reports, for that matter.
Has this one been posted yet?
This is what we did for almost 3 hours one day:
Then me only 2 miles down the road:
A little bit of video I took on my way home from West Fest

We did some great rides from the Darby Camp over the couple of days of West Fest (Greywolf11, MyDogSparky, and me BHB)!
On that nice Friday we rode via a dirt pass South into Idaho to a remote Fire Lookout 3K above the North Fork of the Salmon River:
Then out to a long 25 mile ridge with lots of loose freshly graded two track...that sucked
Finally we reach the volunteer manned Fire Lookout above the Salmon River!
A cool old cabin complete with a stove and cots still is in use below the lookout.
The views looking into the Frank Church Wilderness and South over the Salmon River are freaking amazing

That Saturday of West Fest we rode up to the Hells Half Acre Fire Lookout out off the Magruder Corridor (turn off is just a few miles before the Magruder Ranger Station)
Just a few pans from the amazing vistas of the Selway Bitteroot Range and the Frank Church Wilderness in Idaho to the south.
Great stuff, BHB!
Great pics starting out this thread too!
