Too funny we actually stopped at Lake Hill Motors purely by chance (next post will have more detail) and met @HOMER69 and he was telling us about that ride, we were a little early, he said if he'd have known we were coming he would have got Sam over, it would've been great to meet him.

Good to see you're keeping well, maybe catch up on the next lap!

I'll be at the ride next week. Wish you could have stayed. I would have liked to meet you. Homer told me you came by.

still reasonably full from yesterday's Oark burger, we head off into more of this green stuff...so green I'd forgotten.

...and definitely not wanting to get into any legal wrangles or arguments! Local advertising is well, so local! Looks like they pulled this term outta grandpa's sock draw

Torrential rain stopped play and not being one to not use a spare space we rolled inside

seems the rain overnight might have been a little heavy...just jump it!!!

Would the Parisians be impressed or ashamed, I ponder this question as I sat and ate three-day old pizza on a folding chair at the gas station across the street from this work of art :lol3

Abe's chain had shit the bed, nothing to do with puddle jumping, it didn't look that good before we left, so a few adjustments along the way

The rain is coming, the mud is spraying, but makes for good photos

Next big town with a bike shop, Corinth MS. The heavy rain arrived and we grabbed a hotel, not just any hotel, one where they don't trust the locals with their rooms.

Made me laugh that the sign is not 50 miles or 100 miles, there must be some really significant meaning to the 70-mile limit?

The following morning we roll into Lake Hill Motors and meet @HOMER69 and Abe gets a new chain.

IF you happen to be rolling thru this part of the world and you don't need anything motorcycle related still stop in and say hi to Homer and the guys because hidden inside is a little motorcycle museum that has a few very eclectic bikes.

my favorite is the old Honda 3 wheeler retrofitted with a Honda CBX 6 cylinder motor, that's a 100hp motor, which makes this thing death on a stick even more than the stock bike!

Let's hope @HOMER69 can give us the back story on this thing, and do they leave it with flat tires so the mechanics don't take it out on their lunch breaks!!!

    Hey Paul,
Once again, I’m really bummed I was unable to meet you on your short stop Downeast. I wish you safe and adventure filled travels. Also would have liked to meet your friend in BH. Anyway, so it goes.

would you email me a good picture or two of your cockpit. I’d like to see the Nav system, phone mount etc.. I’m going to be doing the HDB NEXT GEN install and so while I have it apart I want to take care of as much as possible.
    Be well.

Thanks very much. That is a lot of electronics. Does the Trail Tech and GPS mout to the HDB top clamp or is there more to that set up?

The GPS in on the Motominded rally tower. The trail tech is is on a Motominded stout mount that’s mount to the HDB top clamp, with an additional Motominded wedge to take the reflection off the screen and have it at a more useable angle

loL, you should see his zip tie and spare lever storage. Everytime I see that bike, I see something that is seriously cool, and well thought out.

the art or carrying stuff w/o carrying stuff….I hate excess luggage, but as an overlander compromises are required

I like the spare shift lever secured on the front of the right side radiator protected by fuel tank.

There is more than one lever hidden on the bike.
@SELDOMSEEN Sorry we missed you up here. Due to previous commitments for both Paul and I, we had some compressed timelines to accommodate the, uhh, 'requirements' he had to meet for the boat. I'll let him tell the story, it was complicated and painful to say the least. Give me a shout if you ever get up to BH....
