Anyone tried AltRider's engine crash guards on the GSA (with the adapter)? I busted my stock bars and looking for something more solid, however it looks like the color is different than the stock upper bars? Wondering how noticeable it is.

I’m mobile now so will be short. Have a shop sandblast the OEM uppers to raw metal. Then they’ll match the alrider steels perfectly. BMW adds a metallic finish to their crash bars.

    Mine match perfectly.

Do any of the aftermarket hard bags fit the R1250GSA Adventure bag mounts? An old friend of mine just bought the bike and it looking for options... :ear

Bumots do, and I think there is another, Holan maybe?

The 1250GSA racks are the same as the 1200 Wetheads.

I’m pretty happy with my Bumots on the 1250 adventure. Their top case requires a mounting plate on the EVO but that simply attaches to the factory mount.

Added the BMW plastic radiator guards. I can confirm that part# 46638556647 and 46638556648 are a direct fit with no modification required on the '19 GSA.

Interesting. They certainly were not a direct fit on my '18 GSA

Today the Tankslapper kit, SW Motec ring & Ztechnik headlight protector. On the Tankslapper, I watched the videos, followed the instructions and damn near gave up. The center section was a bear but eventually I was able to coax it into position. The sides were easy squeezy.

Now Altrider just needs to get their plate/lower bar setup done and I can add both to my GSA.

Those seem huge. Can they even fit with crash guards?

Edit: seems like they do. I wonder if they fit with my crashed on bars.

The Tankslapper protection film had me using profanities I didn't know existed, intercourse, I was hopping and raving, foaming at the mouth and still it didn't work out. Lots of alcohol stat!

A little frustrated with alt rider. Pre ordered lower crash bars and skid plate for the R1250gs the end of January. The estimated completion date being told me via e mail and phone conversations kept getting pushed back to April, then May, then June, and now won't see apparently until July. Hitting the dirt hard the end of June and had to buy a set of Touratech crash bars to protect the jugs. Has anyone gotten a finished product yet from Alt Rider yet for their R1250?

All you guys swapping the OEM lower bars should sell me your set if they're not scratched and look new! I'd like a 2nd, untainted set I can swap with my scratched ones so when I'm not in the dirt it looks pretty :D I'm looking for a second set for my 1250 GSA
