Thanks! That's just the info I was hoping for...confirmation it is narrower and firm. I think I'll order a standard height, then if really needed can have it shaved down a bit. Thanks again.

Nice, I didn’t know bmw had these. I bought the extremely overpriced ones from wunderlich.

You are absolutely correct, at twice the price! I didn't realize Wunderlich made these too, and just looked at the cost difference. My parts guy showed me these and they were exactly what I wanted.

Interesting, and something I'll have to pay attention to. I can only have Cooper's awareness color code going on in so many areas at once. :hmmmmm

Excellent. Let the build out begin!

It's a great bike. You're going to really enjoy it. From your neck of the woods, the twisty roads of North Carolina and north Georgia must be beckoning.

    Congratulations!

    Haha...
Found her at a multi-brand dealer in Huntsville, AL. A new 2019, reduced to $18,999, and BMW promo free Vario side cases. Sit on the floor a year caught in the Hayes caliper dealer “hold” for eight months waiting on parts. Parts replaced, So BMW/Hayes in front, Brembo on back.

Like most, been down the farkle road with a ‘10 GSA and ‘14 RTW. Just soaking in like minded folks farkles and experiences.

You suck! Ok, really I'm just jealous :lol3 That's a great deal, I'd have no problem making that purchase any day. Lower crash bars + MAMs if you do a lot of off-road, MAM covers if you don't (or BMW branded covers) and then do whatever you want. Lovely bike, my favorite GS color scheme.

    07 for your service

How is everyone installing their accessory LED lights?
Saw a mount bar at Touratech.
    Pictures would be great.

Depends on your lights of choice and your intended location for them - some even use stock fog lights location to mount driving lights...

Clearwater/Denali/etc do have their own bike-specific mounting solutions/brackets etc which you can choose from when ordering their lights...

If you're going on a budget, Amazon has assortment of various brackets that would suit almost any application on any bike so with a bit of creativity, you should find what would work for you...

I am planning on using the BMW brackets to mount my lights. The same brackets that are used on the RT will work on the GS so long as you’re not running crash bars. Since I’m 99% pavement I opted to just use cylinder guards and no crash bars and the BMW light brackets work perfect

I installed Clearwaters using the BMW under beak light bar. Its all sold as a kit, the light bar is an OEM BMW part and came packed in the original box with the part number sticker on it. I think you can get it with the Darlas too, certainly with the Krista/Erica/Sevina lights.

Looks like it’s this 77-51-8-389-189, which is the bar and mounting hardware. Its mainly plastic but has a metal bottom plate, can’t tell if it’s steel or aluminum just from my quick glance. $133ish Canadian dollars.
