My reply was intended for another poster, not the OP, thus the confusion!

I may or may not have smoked the devil's lettuce once or twice, I understand they ask about that at border crossings these days and they can even dig up your credit card statements to check what you've bought. I don't want to cross the border until the law around that is clarified.

If that’s the case I’m fucked. I’ve gone from Alaska to Argentina with lettuce residue about my person. Even flew to the UK with a little baggie to keep me going. Although I haven’t met a pot seller yet that takes credit cards. All the establishments I frequent even have an ATM on the premises.

Now that it's legal in Canada, most purchases are done by credit card. And since Visa/MC/Amex are American companies, it wouldn't be hard for the border guards on the US side to build a database of Canadians who have ordered anything from any store that sells pot or pot paraphernalia.

There have been many articles in the news recently about this, here is one: https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/c...rc-legal-pot-buyers-u-s-border-123246739.html

I'm sure Paul has done it in winter on a bike, he has a motorcycle hauling company now. A few years ago I hosted Ed March and Rachel Lasham as they got ready to head east across Canada. They left Vancouver in early January and rode their C90s across Canada during the winter and even camped along the way. It did take them a LOT longer than 55 hours.

Apply for a new card from a company you don't already have a card from?
Just use it to buy bike parts...

Or don’t use your credit card for anything that is illegal, semi legal, quasi legal or questionable.

I should do Vancouver (Hope actually) to PEI to find out if my long deceased father has any assets.

My mother was 15 when she got pregnant. The church kicked her off the Island to Toronto. I was stolen and adopted out by the church when I was born. I found her when I did a DNA test. The USA does not like me.

    I have no money at 60. I have a Honda Forza 300 maxi-scooter and a credit card.
