I'm 10 days late to posting this adventure so here it is. Video first followed by photos. If you are in New England, please consider going to the Dirt Daze Rally in August - https://dirtdazerally.com I'm leading (guiding) the Northeast Route. The video shows some clips from that route. It will be big bike friendly (since mud will be gone by then) and Knobbies aren't required but you should be comfortable on dirt.

Did you figure out where your chain is rubbing? A lot of betas' chain rub against the frame before the counter sprocket. Check your frame for scrapes/gouge mark.

It was definitely the kickstand. It bent in too much. Still haven't finalized troubleshooting it.

I did not attend the rides this year since my GS was in the shop until the last minute but I did go to camp, hang out, see friends and help cook / volunteer a bit. Here are ONLY photos from this weekend. It's open to MOV members and we do it every year:

since I didn't do any riding other than to and from the event, no point in making a video but at least I got some decent photos!

Phew, that was a lot of work getting 1100 photos down to 150 and 100 videos down to just 30 minutes of content total. Thanks for following the wanderings thread!

You'll notice I skipped Pemi River Rally. I also may skip Lake Carmi campout. Too many house chores falling behind being on a bike every weekend.

While there's very little worth sharing from my trip to Berlin (i.e. no riding videos so has no business on this forum), I did do a quick stop at the BMW Factory in Berlin where their motorcycles are made...more photos here - https://www.flickr.com/photos/adamjackson/albums/72157709174266036

I met Vladimir Yarets who was asking people for money...very little is reported on him in the last few years:

saw a perfectly executed RTP Motorcade formation leaving the German Chancellor's building:

Then went to the DDR Motorrad Museum:

Quick Ride out In the woods yesterday

    -

New battery in the beta, new change of oil and a fresh tank of ethanol free fuel. Took her out for a ride down a brand new trail. Have never gone down here before. went down about 100 yards on my R1200GS 3 years ago and even on Knobbies, I knew better and turned around. Good call because the trail just goes away in some places, there were at least 5 areas I had to go off trail to go around fallen trees which tripled the amount of time it took to do this ride and it was muddy on every descent or low area. Still had fun. All kinds of sticks and mud were in every nook and cranny.

On the way home, found this nice clearing and went down there to explore.

Turns out I was on, "Fred Harris Trail, 3.8 miles in Hanover, 0.3 in Lyme: J6-L2. This former route of the AT is named for the founder of the Dartmouth Outing Club (1909). At present the trail has been obliterated by windfall and lumbering at the north end and is overgrown near Ferson Road. The trailhead on Goose Pond Road in Lyme is beside a large pine just west of a barnyard. Easy."

Easy for hikers but it was definitely overgrown...insanely swampy. drew a quick map based on my GPX track

Pretty much yeah! a few trails and then no trail and had to find my way back. Had the same issue yesterday on the dirt bike. trails just randomly end. I'll have video of that next week.

    I appreciate that! thank you.

You did! I just left it there overnight as it had been at the Jesse Luggage booth the rest of the time.
