Another order placed this time with eBay, fine purveyors of knock-off goods but when Touratech stops charging $250 for plastic, I'll stop using eBay.
Plus I had some eBay coupons to make these slightly cheaper. The only issue being shipping from China but I'm in no rush.

Also, it looks like someone in china is already ripping off Machine Art Moto's X-Head (link) for half the price. Risky purchase given how much abuse my X-Head took this year.

Machine Art Moto Order (probably next week):
    • X-Head_LC $195.00
    • ADV-GD-KIT 1- GSA-LC $279.00
    • Slipscreen_LC - $129.00
    • MudSling_GSLC: $129.00
Going to try and shop around to find a 10% off coupon somewhere. Maybe @ADVdepot. Machine Art Moto is probably tired of my emails by now asking for free shipping as I've done a few orders from them directly and their resellers have free shipping but they sometimes honor it case by case. This is supposedly $88 shipping from MAMO. kind of crazy.

    Touratech Order will be:

    • Touratech Folding Mirror, M10 x 1.5 Item #040-0770 Mirror Thread Type: M10 x 1.5 $49.95
    • Final Drive Breather Relocation Kit, BMW R1200GS / ADV, 2010-on (Oil & Water Cooled) Item #045-5506 $79.95
    • Final Drive Slider (Crash Bung), BMW R1200GS / ADV / R / RT, 2013-on (Water Cooled) Item #045-5505 $79.95
    • Starter Guard, Black, R1200GS/A 13-on Item #045-5311 Color: Black $64.95
AltRider Order: (will need to check compatibility with them on 2018 parts)
    • AltRider Crash Bar and Skid Plate System for the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure Water Cooled - Silver Bars/Black Plate $978.97
    • AltRider Stainless Steel Headlight Guard for the BMW R 1200 GS /GSA Water Cooled - Black $162.97
    • AltRider Front Engine Guard for BMW R 1200 Water Cooled - Black $94.97
    • AltRider Radiator Guard for the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure Water Cooled (2014-2017) - Black $171.97
    • AltRider Side Stand Enlarger Foot with 6mm Riser for the BMW R 1200 GS Adventure Water Cooled - Black $90.97
    • AltRider ABS Sensor Guard for the BMW R 1200 Water Cooled - Silver $32.9
    • AltRider Left Heel Guard for the BMW R 1200 GS /GSA Water Cooled - Silver $40.48
    • AltRider Rear Brake Master Cylinder Guard for the BMW R 1200 GS /GSA Water Cooled - Silver $50.97
    • AltRider Rear Brake Reservoir Guard for the BMW R 1200 GS /GSA Water Cooled - Black $55.97
    • AltRider Side Stand Switch Guard for the BMW R 1200 GS /GSA Water Cooled - Black $46.97
    • AltRider Universal Header Guards (pair) - BMW R 1200 GS Adventure (2005-2013) $79.97
I'll probably do a bit of coupon hunting first and I'm posting this here to solicit the feedback of others before I waste more money than is needed although I may regret asking for feedback.

Finally, ditching Pivot Pegz for this round and going with these I think: https://blackdogcw.com/bdcw-footpegs-traction-bmw-r1200gs-lc-gsa-lc/

Check out the Lone Rider brad headlight guard. I'm going back and forth between that and the Altrider one. Getting ready to head to the garage and put on my Altrider skidplate now.

I do like the amber lens they have. I have tried 3 Total guards now, Touratech, Wild@Heart and AltRider and AltRider was by far the best. Haven't used any Lonely Rider gear before.

Re: Anti glare shield. I found this CF one on Ebay:

I haven't seen a black plastic one yet. But I haven't really looked hard either. That said I have the clear one on my bike, and don't find it to be a problem when using the altrider guard (lexan)

@AdamChandler as you saw I have the LoneRider guard, I have also been through 3 guards and this is the most solidly built and mounted. The variations it can be set up in are great, It can be set as clear only, mesh only, or all-in-one as you saw on my bike. It also comes with a clear lens to replace the amber, I changed to that lens with yellow Lamin-X to match my Rigid lights. It really is a bomb proof piece!

I don't know all the in's and out's of this but thought someday I'd give it a try for all my accessories, the neutrino. Thoughts for the 1200 gs?

Really amazing BUT this goes beyond what I need. With ClearWater's CanOpener / CanSMART handling auxiliary lights and brake light, I have no heated gear either so that means I really don't have a huge need for this much configuration. I do think PDM60 is going to be best for my needs.

Jim, if someone said their aftermarket horn wasn't working and you saw this, would you just kick them out of the garage?

It would probably be my drool causing the failure! :lol3

Seriously, it seems like overkill, but it may be an Iron Butt Rally rider. None the less, I would rather see this than some of the messes I have seen. Surely it has to be easier to troubleshoot, so long as a wiring diagram exists. I am betting it looks as good as this wiring.
