I appreciate the offer. I think I prefer the Touratech's for now. Given I can't return them, I'll rock them until they fall apart.

For anyone curious, here are the BMW Rally guards:

Also I had my header guards mounted way too low.

More Pre-Spring prep! Fully cleaned the helmet from all salt residue and applied carnauba wax. Now, onto gear:

Well, when this is your riding suit, you need a LOT of armor:

That front spot is perfect! Just a little drilling but it looks good.

Is the headlamp guard rubber mount system enough damping to run the front camera on it
without a lot of jitter ??

I ordered another set of the GS Decals. this time in black in hopes I'd get a different lot. Well, I did and the application process was perfect and as expected. The seller still hasn't responded to my first inquiry but it would be nice if they refunded my first purchase less shipping given how the stickers wouldn't let go of the backing tape. as far as red versus black, both look great:

:) I was thinking 5 months later you gotta have something to keep us entertained now that the build is slowing down.

OK: Red bikes are for girls. Sorry that's all I've got. I totally in awe of the build, and overwhelmed with jealously each time I look at my tired old gray 2009 GSA......

In recently installed the Innovv K2 on my 17GS the front mount point is different for a GSA but you get the idea, I used the rear brake light as the trigger to switch on and off the cam and wired the power to the EXCan accessory which has a delayed off so the DVR has time to write files before power is cut. I don't use the parking feature as i don't need it and it drains the battery really quickly when the bike is not running.

GPS Unit - Main unit is under the rear seat cover, might move it as its not quick access to get to but we will see if I need to get to it on a regular basis.

I just stupidly remembered that GPS is line of sight so I should actually mount my GPS module in view. hmm had hoped to sneak it under the pillion seat.

    thank you for the photos!

It might work underneath the seat only but I doubt it would work if you had a plate over the seat or a duffle.
