I've had a personal computer and Internet connection (and blog) since 1999. All 4 years of high school was done on my personal iBook and our school had Wifi and network printers in each room. I haven't written out my name in 18 years. I don't even own a pen :p

Good news, Rosie is almost done :)

Congrats on getting Rosie to the finish line. I hope this riding season is filled with good times and great adventures!

This! Depending on personal body dimensions, how big of a tank bag you have and how forward on the tank you can mount it...I feel it can be a help rather than hindrance. I personally PREFER riding off road WITH the bag.

Without bag, I feel a slight bit less connection to the bike more than anything -- the friction of the bag against my legs as I adjust weight side to side gives me a visceral sense of the bike's opposite lean angle, if not also a bit of actual added control.

It might just be in my head as something I've simply grown used to feeling...but I do like it best. Besides, I can then also slap my rather prodigious balls on the top of the tank bag ... use them as a sort of center of gravity anchor and safety strap! Yooooouch! :p3rry

Your trust in electronics far exceeds mine.

It's a calculated decision. The advantages of having your eStuff work for you far outweigh (for me at least) the potential risks which can also be fairly easily mitigated...

Speaking of technology, I love widgets like this. This supports all tracking systems globally, syncs with my watch, Mac and iOS devices. Very handle for the Farkle-Obsessed who hang out in this thread:

I definitely do not have a need for that app.

Speaking of tech, just purchased this to add to Rosie - https://rlink.com

I'm really excited about that functionality. I have a Rever account but I always forget to turn on ride-tracking.

Dude...I’m going to have to block you. I don’t NEED any ideas.

On a more serious note, I wonder if shipper tracking apps like the one you posted above provide some type of BI back to the carriers? The carriers probably already have plenty of that info but I bet the app sees some interesting trends.

    You wouldn't be alone :p

This is called "Deliveries" and it's very straight forward. It's just using the public APIs from shipping companies that give info. It does visualize the stops which I find really cool:

When you realize that it's on your Apple Watch as a Widget, Mac OS as a Menu Bar widget or Phone lock screen, it's pretty powerful for someone like me who always has at least 3 inbound packages. The developer for now is only making an application for people like me. There's not really any phone-home remarks or data sharing taking place. No ads either but I always pay for things so I don't have to see ads.

but being incredibly compulsive, I'd copy tracking numbers into a TXT file and check tracking 3-4 times a day. Knowing this refreshes every 15 minutes takes that item off my to-do list and things just ping my watch as they move around the country.

I've been waiting for this moment for a while. Happy to finally start improving the bike and classing it up.

Love the new personalized plate. I want one but haven’t been able to nail down something available, I like, in Ga.

The state doesn't accept brand names so I used the stock ticker and told the the town it was an acronym for our riding club. approved!

    Edit...2nd choice was indeed "Rosie"
