Yes it was awesome, thank you Kathy, Don McCoy and Sallydog for putting this event on. Here is some photos and video of the BYOB via drop box https://www.dropbox.com/sh/5kb520fdobmd9is/AABoMZ6vXKwM2LWDDYqaBquEa?dl=0
Been home for about a day. I had fun and look forward to doing these in the future. Next time I will stay for a lot longer. I did around 2000 miles between Monday and Monday
Made it to NJ. too busy riding to take many pics. Had a great time. as for the little bike riding, HM was great. good mud, bikes still hook up... both days i was in a group of 6 or 7 that could ride. stop every 5 miles and everyone caught up within 30 seconds Wish i had my big bike there for a day because i really wanted to check out the tunnel and some other sights. Thanks to don and kathy for the hard work. Hope we didnt leave too much of a mess. I left a factory samsung charger in room 24 Don. It will work on your phone.
Yip Yip Hurray for the little bike mud fest I got my kickstand back on. Now to find what else I broke? good times!!
oh i tell ya. it was horrible down there at hatfield-mccoy central (sarcasm). had a great time. brazen13 was very pleased with the way her long weekend turned out. i had no complaints. the gravel parking lot? non-issue. the rain? non-issue. i dunno what all the naysaying was about previously in the thread. everyone had a great time, not sure i heard a single complaint. i'm betting there'll be no lawsuits either for anything. after everyone left on sunday there was just brazen13 and i along with casey and his lovely wife. we had a swell time eatin' pizza and drinkin' shine. got a fire goin' from the remenants of the prevoius nights blaze. a grand time was had indeed. i even brought home some souveniers.
our accomodations for the weekend chicken n dumplings ride. brazen13 came in 5th and i came in 3rd! we got a lovely prize for our efforts! ain't they a cute couple? this is just trouble awaitin' to happen good training ground for romaniacs 2019 aliens?!?!
...mud? if you look closely you'll see our fearless organizer of the '15 byob wallowing it got a little weird in the woods, luckily i didn't hear banjos pull start a little later we got stopped by the previous nights little rain event.
... there be hills. that can be difficult to get up i have a video of the next and more succesful run. i'll have to get to that.
... you can be lead around by casey and kyle b. this is from the top of the first hillclimb. look at that form! there goes laura (don't tell her husband but she rides faster) lookin' good so far still lookin' good and then not so much! no shortage of views from the tops of the many hills our group of adventurers brazen13 ridin' like a pro moar! what are you lookin' at buddy!?!? we didn't hear or see anything making a bang moar views that is the face of a good time oh gnoes! our ride leader wanted to see what this hill climbing was all about it's a big bike but he rode it well. he was rippin' up on the h&m trails later that day the little bikes made it easy the world famous coffee master himself. kyle b! it was getting warm out so we decided to take a swim i am indeed a lucky guy to have found a ridin' partner like her i kept passin' this old railroad tressle and i had to go out there had a great time in matewan. if someone wants to step up and do byob again here, i'll be back. if not, we need to create a hatfield-mccoy annual event. the area is just too awesome to not come back.
Great pics and a great time! Group willingness to help was fantastic and really made the event memorable for me! Especillly gratefull to Kyle B for riding sweep, helping me pick up the bike (repeatedly!) and talking me though my first real exposure to mud. Much appreciated!
IT WAS AWESOME. THANKS. I will post the pictures I took as soon as I calm down and let it all soak in. Looks like yall rode in places I never knew existed around here and places I would never ride Lol.
