Thinking about a big loop from the ADV Girl's Rally in VA to Westfest to CADVR. I better start hoarding vacation time now.

Yes Virginia, it is called Cadaver. :D

Easy reach for you. I've been to many, this one is a lot of fun. I enjoy more the first five days, especially the roaming camp up to Madeline Island the Mon/Tues. Tight group, good folks. If you're only gonna make one this year, make it this event, even if it's only for a couple of days.

Good point Driffy! For any new folks, you don't need to go all 9 days. Pop in for a couple if that's all you have to spare. The first 1/2 is mellow and laid back, I'm referring to the evenings here, the second half gets a bit more wound up with the last Saturday the big meal and other festivities. Don't afraid to ask questions (Be afraid of the answers:lol3).

Anyone but boog. That boy ain't right.

Just for your info, it's 1450 from my place to the rally. Long day, mostly two lane, five percent four lane. That's if you go through the Soo. Lots of hills if you're dragging a trailer from Pembroke to the Soo. Considering where you live, running the north shore of Superior is worth the extra few hours, beautiful. Aerostich is at the west end of the lake, good gear.

It'd be two long ass days drive from your place. This is a good family event, way more so than any other, look at doing that maybe.

    Screw the bike, road trip.

Look up Wisconsin Dells, lots of fun family stuff to do, three hours away. Been there a few times with the boy, he really likes it. August in the northwoods is very pleasant, warm but not humid, cool at night. Few bugs.

Moose family is prolly going again next year, found a hot fishing spot this year and rode many miles of gravel with the wifey 2 up, did some good bar hopping too, nothing like a northwoods bloodymary, we'll be in a bigger camper next year and I think I'll bring a dirt bike this time.
