What they all said! Thanks, Bryan. And I never ride off-pavement.
I know a lot of you guys probably don't read my trail and legislative issues thread in Central. However, there is an issue going on right now that requires maximum attention from dual sporters. We are trying to get some riding opportunities on the property the DNR is converting from an old ammunition plant to a recreation area. We need public comment submitted from motorcyclists to overcome the Madison area anti-motorized crowd that are trying to kill us off. Details about the issues, how to comment, and important remarks are list in this post in that thread. Please act on it right away and let me know in that thread (or some other way) when you do so I can get a feel for how we are doing.
Thanks ever so much!
This was an awesome event put on by amazing people. I had a blast and hope to be a part of it again next year.
I put on 600 miles on my trip home with a stop at the Grand Marias Music Festival where I convinced some friends to bring most of my luggage home for me so I could ride lite.
It was great to meet and ride with many of you. Here are some of my photos from my trip.
Chatted with someone from Vilas Forestry and Parks about our interests and experiences with the trails, paths, and county forests there along with a lot of access issues in general. He had some questions he wanted to go over. Told him I would stop in and chat some more next time I was up there. He had contacted me earlier wanting to discuss things and we didn't connect until today. Also chatted about the importance of the local clubs we are putting together in the area and that someone from the DS club needs to be on the county hosted trails council there. Positive conversation. Got a lot of points across to share perspective as to what is going on in some other counties and statewide. Answered a few questions about the Central ADV Rally as well. All good.
Nice work Cannonshot. It does not go unappreciated, especially from the Angry Squirrels MC Club. Thanks again!
Great pics Tim!
