Great practice today in NoCo - dirt was excellent with the moisture we received last night:

The Jr50 has done its job, now looking for a ktm or a cobra 50.

Interesting story that JR50 was given to me by someone here. Only catch was I need to give it a new home for free as well. That young man has been chosen.

That little bike taught both my daughter and my son how to ride. The daughter is not into it. The boy this year is having a great time, and I’m seeing him being limited on the jr50. Time to step it up!

Proettermann, we're new to the Loveland area. Where's the best / closest place to take our toyhauler, the bikes and kids? We're looking to camp and ride for a few days. Prefer BLM type areas. Would love a place where we can have a fire, gather / cut dead trees to use, let the kids be kids and not have to worry about others camping near by. The boys are on a 50 MINI, 50 SX and 85 SX. I have a 350.

We don't leave trash, always leave the area better than we found it, are super careful with our fires and my three boys are very respectful.

    Any insight would be great.

As well, I believe we need a permit / sticker for them to ride? Guessing the KTM shop here in town will have those?

    Thanks

Up the Poudre Canyon (CO14) is a small settlement called Rustic. From there you can take a graded gravel road, Manhattan Road (perfectly suitable for RVs) to the Sevenmile OHV area which has plenty of dispersed camp sites. You need USFS spark arrestors on the bikes and OHV stickers, which can be applied for at every motorcycle dealership around here.

This link gives you the Canyon Lakes Ranger District Road Status (open/closed) - you want to look for USFS Rd 225 Sevenmile Road: https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/arp/recreation/?cid=stelprdb5300963
The same link shows the Ranger District's phone numbers to check on fire restrictions.

Here is a link to a bunch of MVUM maps - look for the front and back of the Canyon Lakes Ranger District to find the Sevenmile areas: https://www.fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/...360000000000000&ttype=detail&cid=fsm91_058275

Seems lengthy but yes, that's it. Have fun up there.

RMXA Round 2 at IMI yesterday - packed, but well organized. My son took fourth overall in both classes he was racing. Fun day:

Thanks! I've got the day off tomorrow, might take the GS up there and look around a bit.

Just rode there last weekend. Still quite a bit of snow on the trails.

Practice at Milliken prior to the race in CO-Springs last weekend. My son had not ridden his KTM 65SX in 6 weeks as he was racing the Cobra 50SR at all events so far. I was a tad concerned about unleashing him on the main track, but that was obviously unfounded...

D-25 Showdown Race Number 1 of the 2018 Series at Aztec Raceway. My son begged me to race his 65 and his 50 for this event, which resulted in a total of 6 races (2 races each for three class entries total) - what a day...

    Even raced during lunch break:

The 65 start ended with his fender eating the gate prematurely... (I have no image of that as I offered a helping hand untangling metal and plastics)

He started dead last about 60 seconds after the other 23 riders had left the gates. In four laps he worked his way up to a 16th finish...

Of course now he is hooked on the bigger bike and "is so done riding a 50..."

Today in NoCo after the ground got some needed moisture we went for some after school practice, and turned fuel into noise:

Today's post rain dirt fest. Decided to go sample conditions for an hour, stayed almost five hours... Great day to ride:
