Not anymore. Had to sell them below cost here on the Vendor boards to get them to move. A bunch of Canadian AdvRider's purchased everything I had. minimike
We've got a shipment of Women's Klim Alpine Bib's in route. Should be here on Friday. Though these are made for snow, I think they will work motorcycling. I talked to a Harley rider that was using a pair of Klim men's Bib to good effect. He had purchased them in Alaska & was really pleased with them. The Women's Alpine bib has Three layers of GORE-TEX®; but, is about $320 cheaper than the Men's Badland Pro pants. Until Klim makes a specific women's riding pant, this may be the next best thing.
Shop Winter Hours: Monday thru Wednesday- CLOSED Thursday thru Saturday- 9am to 5pm Sunday- 10am to 4pm
A quick FYI to all my customers and potential customers (or not). We've had some problems in the past with a local, private cultural club. Dead animals on the door step and all that. Strange I know since I'm white. But, some of you aren't. :eek1 Or worse, you might not be a Baptist. Wait, do they rank Catholics above or below gay people. I get confused about who they hate more. Anyway, the Chief of Police said he & his 10 officers couldn't protect me. :huh He said I should arm myself. So I did. Class, finger prints, and back ground check. Oh, and a gun. The permit came a few months later and I strapped on a pistol. Open carry. It's 2010 everywhere, but here. Kinda like 1930's. Go everywhere with it. Bank, Drug store, hardware store, & in my shop. I let everyone know I was in the Army & that I worked in the firearms industry for 18 years. Nine of which were with a major handgun manufacturer. Oh, and did I tell you about the cases and cases of free ammo I got to practice with? Bingo, all the B.S. came to an end. The local, private cultural club is still in town. I see them them all the time. We've come to an understanding. Still don't like the bastards though. But that brings me to the reason for this post. I want to be up front with everyone on ADVRider. Tellico Motorcycle Outfitters is a Handgun Permit Friendly Business. We have been since the day we opened. If this bothers you in any way, I highly recommend you take your business to a gun free zone. Thanks for the business everyone. Especially those of you that might not be a Southern White Baptists! minimike .
Wishy washy not! I like people who SPELL IT OUT ! Good job Mike! I am glad to be a customer of yours. Will continue to be. ROCK ON,
the word culture in the club seems strangely mis-applied . . . . . . Shame on the LEOs. good for you, though for finding a way through . . . . . adapt and overcome, at it's finest.
Good to know, I always have my gun on me when I ride but never think about whether anybody likes it or not when I'm in a store. Its always concealed so they never know. I have to get back to your store and look at your gloves I need some new ones for my TDub.
I don't know why you say shame on the LEO's. I'm not a fan of the po-po, but at least they were honest. When someone's at your door with a gun, would you rather have a phone in your hand or a firearm? Being able to defend oneself is a basic right.
Guns don't bother me, I use them like the tools they are. I figured there was a reason for the open carry though. I deal in gas checks, some reloading equipment, swagging etc. The reason I didn't ride much since last fall has been due to the huge increase in demand. The amount of new people getting into reloading is amazing. I'll be up that way soon, I'm watching for a good weather window in April.... I'll be stopping in as usual, love the store.
I bet you guys have been busy. I've got a new rifle & can't find any match grade ammo to sight it in. When we get moved into the new house I'll have room for reloading gear. Haven't had the space to do that for some time. I wish the Democrats were talking about banning riding gear. We'd see how many Klim Badland Pro suits would sell when people were told they couldn't have them.
FYI: Olympia Moto Sport & Klim Spring stocking orders will be here next week in time for the March Moto Madness Rally. We also have Firstgear and Wolfman Luggage shipments that will be coming in before the event. Powerlet's Spring order came in this week. ROK straps are in route already too. Not sure where we are going to put it all. We ordered a ton of gear. :huh We'll be giving a lot of gift certificates away at the rally and will be open at 7am Sunday for those that want to use them before going home. Trail 81 & 82 will be cleared of all blow down from last weeks storm before the rally starts. We're going to hit 82 this weekend and 81 on Wednesday. I'll post a trail report on the MMM Thread when we are done and I've ridden each of them. minimike
Two different conversations (or maybe three), AB, and not the place for either. Glad things are going well at the shop!
