I have a KTM 640 LC-4 Flywheel puller (Kokusan Ignition) that I would be happy to loan if needed. Can ship, as long as time is not sensitive and it gets returned. For local use, I am in Austin, TX.

    PM if you need it.

I can help if a fellow ADV rider needs it.

Have many tools, garage, Marc Parnes balancer, motorcycle lift, stories and working refrigerator to keep beverages chilled! :thumb

I work a 4 12 hour day rotating shift, so if I am home I can help out anyone in need.

Also available is a 3 place motorcycle trailer. So if you're stranded give me a shout and I will hopefully be available to help.

(one-five-1-five-6 eight nine-one 3 two-6) leave a message if I don't answer, tired of those annoying tele marketers.

Does anyone have one of these? I am rebuilding a couple of trail 90s and need this wrench to take off the nut.

Found one locally. It is a weird horseshoe looking thing with 3 prongs to fit in the notches in the nut. If anyone else needs one after I am done I have it and would be happy to loan it out. You could use a metric spanner but it only has one grabbing point and this one utilizes three. Thanks anyway Zen.

does anybody own another bmw f650 steering head bearing tool that they would be willing to donate to the tool pool? due to some very sad circumstances the previous tool has been lost from tool pool circulation. if nobody has one to donate, i will most likely be using some of the accumulated "tool replacement" donation money to purchase a new bmw shb tool since there are two borrowers currently in line.

I don't quite know how this tool pool works, but I have a flywheel puller that I'll happily ship out to whomever needs it. Its an M20x1.5 RH. It only includes the puller bolt. no flywheel stay. I had no problem with a wrench, a rubber mallet and engine compression to get the flywheel off.

    Fits:

    Honda:
    CB750A 1976-1978
    CB750F 1975-1978
    CB750K 1969-1978
    VF500F 1984-1986
    XL250R 1984-
    XR200R 1984-1985
    XR250L 1991-1996
    XR250R 1984-1985

    Kawasaki:
    KL250D 1985-1995
    KL650A 1987-1995

    Suzuki:
    AN650 2003-2008
    AN650A 2006-2008
    DL1000 2002-2008
    DL650 2004-2008
    GSX1300R 1999-2008
    GSXR600 1997-2000
    GSXR750 1996-1999
    SV1000 2003-2005
    SV1000S 2003-2008
    SV650 1999-2008
    SV650S 2001-2008
    TL1000R 1998-2003
    TL1000S 1997-2001

This was typed from the application guide. I can verify that it fits the DL1000.
This is not an expensive tool, but two way shipping is still cheaper.

As a matter of fact, I have a whole bunch of flywheel pullers:
    Just the bolts:
    M19x1
    M14x1.5
    M16x1.5
    M18x1.5

    "push/pull set"
    M28x1/M26x1
    M25x1.5/M22x1
    M27x1(LH)/M24x1
    M27x1.25/M20x1
    M26x1.5/M22x1.5
    M28x1.5

I use some of these on a semi regular basis so I need to keep them here. But I'll send it out to whomever needs it.

I have a few things for use on site here in Kansas City, MO:

    MIG welder
    Plasma cutter
Tire machine (coats 220) and balancer
Various hand tools for pretty much anything motorcycle related
Most motion pro fork seal drivers from 35mm-48mm
Some flywheel pullers for Japanese stuff

So any ADV people passing through KC who need something just let me know. jrossthompson at gmail dot com or pm me but emails are probably better.

I have garage space to work in and tools to work on bikes of all shapes and sizes. No Specialty tools but lots of regular ones. (A full auto techs toolbox.) I also have a truck and ramp to pick up dead bikes and am willing to drive a fer piece to help a stranded ADV'er and there is always beer in the fridge.

This is the first time I've seen this thread. It's a good idea. I have some things I'd like to add.

    I have at disposal....

    Air compressor - 25gallon 6.5hp
Air tools - Cut Off Wheel, Impact Wrench, Air Hammer
Paint Gear - Inline Dryer, Gravity Fed HVLP spray gun, Bottom Fed Regular guns
Enough tools to strip down a bike and build it back up.

It's a small work area, but there's a lot that can be done in it.

    I'm in Fayetteville, NC.

Anybody in the SoCal (inland empire) area have a main bearing puller for rent/loan. My 1997 LC4 is giving me signs of a failing bearing. Thanks!

    This one?

I didn't see any details regarding the construction of such a tool. I guess I'd be more apt to do this procedure if I knew I had a worthy tool. Thanks.
