Ok here's the deal. I am working with a local motocross training facility to have them put on some ADV training classes, probably geared to newer riders that need to transition to more dirt. I'd like to talk him into putting on a one day session, that he could use to fine tune his curriculum and methods. I'm trying to find a couple guys besides me to come and be patient while he works on the things you want and need. It likely wont be regimented and will be some "stop and talk" but I envision no cost to you. He is located in Mauston WI 20 miles North of Wisconsin Dells. I am in no way involved with any business end of it, I just think there's a need and I will be the first student. If he sees the need it might become a regular thing.

Is anyone interested in trying it? I am working out the kinks slowly and cant gaurantee it will happen, but it would help to have some bodies interested.

    heres his link: https://motovation.mx/

And if you have any ideas or thoughts of what you would like to see in a training class I have a thread in The Perfect Line forum that he is monitoring to get ideas. Lots of good ones already

Sounds cool! The price sounds right and I am happy to get in the dirt. I can even recommend a few new ADV riders for their perspective. Feel free to include me

Sometimes you need to get a little dirt on the tires to get to places you will never forget. [IMG]

I would probably make it, depending on the dates. I'll try to get some friends in too. Any chance of loaner bikes, 250-400cc? That could help bring in newbies. I will volunteer mine if we take turns, haha.

I have a friend here in Michigan who has built a course for riding and training the big adv bike crowd. She went with an LLC and we are waiting to see the interest. Not in it to make money in it as a fellow enthusiast. There is an interest out there.

Sorry, there will be no loaners or rentals. This would be only a session to get organized. Probably very loosey-goosey. I will be talking to him tomorrow, Ill run all this by him

I have ridden an 1150GS and have gotten in way over my head...and I’ve also toured on a 650 thumper and have gotten in even worse. I would love a local Rawhide style riders course to help develop better skills on ADV bikes.

No worries, I was just curious if that was a direction he was thinking about.

Ill certainly talk to him but I'm guessing he will want to go slowly before committing to owning a fleet of motorcycles. And (at least in this area) pricing is a HUGE factor in demand, and someone pays for those bikes. Steve

I'm interested. Is this something that would happen this fall, or next spring?
    Keep me posted.

I'm pushing to have one yet this year, but he is new to ADVing and wants to go slow to get it right, which I can dig. Also, we have been getting pounded by rain for a couple months and he has cancelled most riding on the track because of it. Ill update as events warrant. We threw together a rough class outline this morning. A soon as he can ride on track we are going to go survey the properties. he also mentioned installing some challenges like steps, big rocks, trials sort of stuff to play around on. Oh, this will be a good thing!

I like the idea. Its something I've kicked around, but dont have the means to get going. If hes looking for bodies to experiment with, I can try to swing out.

I know I'm late to this, but was looking for some training and I'm near by (La Crosse), would be interested if anything happened to this training, thanks.
