That is insane. This tank was from Bay City area to Toledo and I was babying it pretty good. On the way up I had the cruise set at 85 and went through a tank at under 9mpg. I need to learn to drive or something :lol3

That's definitely not the norm... If I diligently use my cruise at 60 I see 22 mpg in my 4 cyl Taco...80 on the freeway and/or heavy cargo destroys my mpgs... from reading over at TacomaWorld the 6cyl is worse than that...

RTT gonna be the opposite of aerodynamic too...

You got oversize tires, Chazzz? That would throw your mileage off.
Going to Florida last December, I got over 20mpg a few tanks in my crew cab full size Chevy running on all 8 cyls.

Anything over 60 mph and the mileage drops dramatically.

    Holy shit

It's been a minute since I have been in a HD dealership... I went to Hale's today to get an oil filter (they are also a Yamaha dealer, though they hide that pretty well).

I think I may go back with a pop-up canopy and a lawn chair and sit in the parking lot and watch and take some candid photos to make memes with. It was like a circus of fools. A circus-jerk, if you will.

Store just packed, packed with people. Every one a carbon copy of the other. All the dudes wearing too-small and held-together-in-the-front-by-chains leather vests, HD tee shirts, and goatees. Skulls were featured prominently on most clothing. Women in similar attire but with gunts hanging over their jeans. Line at the counter damn near out the door with people buying trinkets and tee shirts and similar rubbish. Guys talking way too loudly for the benefit of everyone else about their sweet Fat Bob and their FLXFYFF Ultra Classic Glide Ratio et al. One guy who looked like Horatio Sanz doing his "leather man assistant" routine was buying a tin sign that said "Harley Davidson US 129 The Dragon" and I had to wonder if he had every actually ridden a) The Dragon, b) that far at once, c) that far cumulatively in his riding career.

I felt all eyes upon me as I was the only person there not wearing leather, black, orange, and a durag.

Luckily, there was no one waiting at the parts counter, and I was in and out with my precious Yamaha filter in probably 45 seconds.

Also if anyone is looking, Mid Ohio in Mt Vernon has a new T7 black and yellow and 2 new KLRs red (base) and black (adv model) on the floor as of this morning... unsure if the base KLR is ABS or not....MSRP

Just got home from a MotoRide weekend visit to Augusta, KY. down on the river. Great little town with good Food-People & Music. Staid at the Parkview Country Inn and walked around enjoying the area Pubs/Restaurants and waterfront. Plus the weekend "Swing on the River" music event was Sat. Night, Not the "Brian Setzer Orchestra" swing we had hoped for but a little more dated. Not bad, but the evening sunsets were great. Road the ferry on the way back home.

Excellent ride with Mike today. Damn good to see you again, buddy.

I was introduced to a new abandoned road, TR 375. Alan, you lecherous bastard, you been holding out on me???? :lol3

Otherwise it was the typical mix of gravel and some abandoned roads, I believe 3 or 4 water crossings... some mud... lunch at Farmhaus... great day...

Is it weird that my favorite thing to do after I get home from a good dusty ride is pick those hardened sand boogers? Damn, simple pleasures.

Gotta remember to scoop all the eye boogers out BEFORE going in for the nose gold.

It was a great day! Great riding with you again! And thanks for taking so many pictures!
I only got my camera out once, so I guess I’ll post each picture I took!

I rode 700 mi of SEO & WV twisties with my giant Russian friend. Only gravel was accidental but his Connie had seen more gravel than many AT’s. Great time.

Maybe you should pick up that T7. Tell them you've got a KTM you want to trade in on it but they'll have to wait for it. A while...

This is my last week of fucking off on Eureka's dime.

    New job starts Monday 0730.

Anyone want to embrace my last week / weekend of unabashed freedom and happiness and ride? Up for a multi day trip, woods related fuckery, 4wd action, shooting (I have a range here), you name it.
