If you're riding the Goldwing trike I might be able to keep up om the T7.
Doing the Marietta thing at my old man pace.
I think I'm in!!! Won't get outa work until late Friday but I plan on making it happen.
Wr250r coming up for sale soon. Just sayin'.
Any farkles you want to part with? Seeking 3 g tank, seat concepts...
Probably go with the bike.
What??? Why??? Did you buy a KTM?
You like the Guzzi that much???
Yes. Got it all ready!
Actually, I was just ready for something different. Always wanted to try a DR650, so I bought new one. Kind of hard to find, local dealer just happened to get one in.
Now! The rest of the story! I went down to pick it up, did the paperwork, yada, yada, yada. Started home, ( in the truck ) and my back started hurting real bad. Then my stomach hurt real bad. I was sweating like crazy and feeling nauseated. Pulled into a rest stop, managed to throw up 5 or 6 times, got back in and headed for the hospital. I'm thinking maybe a kidney stone?
Had to park a good distance from the emergency exit. Thought I might have to get someone to wheel me in. Finally made it to the door, and they wheeled me back. Thank God for pain meds! Anyway, a CT scan later and I have renal carcinoma on the left side! Doc said it looked to be contained in one area, but won"t be certain until a PET scan. Biopsy tomorrow, and they will probably schedule surgery also. So will most likely lose a kidney or a part of one.
My wife's 40 y.o. principal just went through the same thing and is doing fine.Hopefully get over this quick and back to riding.
I'll try to get pics and details on the WR250 as I am able.
So to clarify, the Moto Guzzi is staying as a street and mild Adv bike, 650 will be more dirt-oriented.
Jesus man. Good luck.
Re: DR to WR or vice versa; I actually traded my WR to Big_B some years ago for his DR. You'd be surprised what a unimpressive bike the DR is by comparison. I got rid of it pretty quick and sourced another WR. They really are fantastic bikes despite being a smaller displacement. Hope you like the DR but I'd suggest you just park the WR in the barn for a few months before you make a final decision.
Sorry to hear about your situation Mark and I hope to hear better news from you soon. Good luck man!!!
Good luck Mark. Keep us posted when you can
You know he's a true motorcyclist when he puts info about learning he has cancer in the post AFTER talking about the new bike he got
I’ll be thinking about you buddy. You’ll be through this quick and back on the road. If you need me to put some miles on that Guzzi for you I’d be glad to help. Let me know if you need anything.
Mark, Get well soon.
Good luck Mark, hoping you will be back to riding in no time at all. And what Mark said, hang on to the 250.
