Thanks everyone for the great response to our new Native H4R2! We have sold out of our first run and are expecting more late next week.

Do you have a "native" type H7 bulb that'll fit inside BMW lamps (s1000xr)?

The H7 bulb size/format does not have adequate space to encompass the electronics. We do offer the H7+ led headlight.

    1. Airhead riding at night? [IMG]
Posted by bmwhead on 8th May 2019

Airheads are renowned for the poor stock lighting and low factory charging output. This led is a solution for both, works great and has restored my confidence in riding the ole BMW at night.
Do you have a headlight bucket with no space or lots of electrical components in it? The new Native H4R2 can fit where other headlight replacements don't.

How much protrusion at the back compared to the R3 and the Mesh Monster?

I have H4 Mesh Monsters in some headlight sheels that an R3 was too long for. Are the R4 shorter than the R3?

I just ordered two Native H4R2's!
I'm slowly upgrading my vintage bikes to LED.
One will go in my 1975 R90S, the other in my 1974 Guzzi Eldorado.
The Native H4R1 currently in the Eldorado will go in the custom modified headlight of my 1976 CB400F.

Feedback on our H4R4 LED headlight

    1. Wow! Fantastic investment for night riders. [IMG]
Posted by Ben on 26th May 2019

I ride at night a lot going home from work. The stock light on my 2014 CB500x was good, but I wanted it to be better and I also wanted to be seen by other drivers better. I upgraded to this and man this thing is awesome! The light is very crisp. Much brighter than halogens and I can see much further and wider. It does not bother other drivers. You may have to adjust your headlight down a bit. The high beam on this thing is wicked as well. Both High and Low turn on and you can see forever, absolutely amazing. Install on the 2014 CB500x was a little tough for me because I have big hands, but the malleable mesh is nice and I was able to fit it with no issues or alterations.

    H7+ Led Headlight feedback

    1. Nice upgrade! [IMG]
Posted by Bmwrr on 4th Apr 2019

Installed on my R1200RT BMW motorcycle. Fit without modification. Light pattern is good with no V pattern or distortion, but does get washed out a bit in oncoming headlights. Light is white and bright showing paint and signs brighter than other objects around me. Animal eyes shine brightly! The added lumens do not seam to bother oncoming drivers.

After some experience, please post how this goes. I have an R90 and I'm worried about the heat buildup in the headlight shell drying out the wiring on the terminal board.

Don't fear heat build up from these. They consume about half the power of a halogen, and thus, create a lot less heat, considering more of the energy is converted to light.

I have no doubt that they'll fit and work well. I've had the original Native in my Guzzi Eldorado for a year, works great, no problems. It's headlight shell has fuses and a lot of wiring inside just like the Airheads.

Here are some pictures taken this morning of the native H4R2 in my 2014 FJR. I did adjust the low beam to where it was below the blue tape you see on the garage door

Have you had a chance to try the Native H4R2 in the dark?

No, I don't ride in the dark much, so not sure when I would get a good look at it.

Sounds good, just thought you might have been caught out with all the riding you've been doing on your new bike!

Anyone go any idea what is going on with these people? So far, very disappointing customer service. Unresolved issue for $160 set of light bulbs that goes back to Feb 4th, and my last email to them sent on May 31st still unanswered.

    Time to find another supplier...
