Prices are by head, not bike. Most of the costs in these events are food, camping, shirts, etc. which are all per person.

I don't think I can get many days off. Is there a partial registration so I could just ride out on Saturday, hang out for a bit, then cruise home before nightfall? Really wish I could get more time, because those training classes seem like a fantastic deal.

We have a two day registration option which costs less. It's Friday night, Full Sat and then Go home on Sunday.

Is there anywhere locally that rents dual-sport bikes? I likely won't have upgraded from my CB500 yet, but I'd love to take advantage of training opportunity. The Eagle Rider place in Falls Church only has Harleys, Indians, Goldwings and a Slingshot monstrosity...

Hey gregkb, EagleRider Pittsburgh will be offering rental bikes for the rally. You can either pick the bike up from them or they can deliver it to the event. Call them at 412-276-1300 or book a bike online at eagleriderpittsburgh.com and use Promo Code ADVMoto2016 for 10% off.

That is great news! Do you know if they would allow a rental to even be used for the beginner training course? It seems fairly tame, but there has to be the chance of a drop or two...would insurance cover that?

You might have to give them a call on that one, although I imagine they wouldn't have a problem with that. The training grounds at Boyer Farm is soft dirt/grass, no rocks.

How many miles and hours is the Boyer Farm ride from camp and back to camp? I didn't get the chance to ride it last year!

    Hey Don,

Boyer farm is about 17 miles away from the campground. It should take you less than 30min to get there from camp.

Weather looks good for this rally. No problems with mud which was a concern given this time of year.
