hmmm, how long in each continent??? Good question. If we ignore Antarctica for a minute, that leaves 12 months / 6 continents = 2 months in each continent??? and I believe it should be up to the continent organiser to work out where they get it to/from. Once we have a nominator organiser for each continent then we can plan 'roughly' which direction the mascot travels and indicative dates/places where the exchange between continents will take place. Then each "continent organiser" (C.O :evil ) can work out the inbetween bits....

This is only my opinion and am happy for peoples thoughts...:clap

I was thinking something more along the lines of this (see URL below), simply becuase its plastic and may be easier to tie down unto the bikes, although, not as much character as your pig...:

2 months per continent sounds fair, hopefully that is enough time to get it through some of the large geographic places. It will be easy to fill up 2 months time here in North Am.

We can skip Antartica, unless someone comes up with riding down there or responds... then we still have to get takers for the other continents. Why don't you edit your first post with ALL caps to resemble this and ask for others to be the CO for the remaining continents...?

Do we have any ADVriders from around Schenectady N.Y.?

The Air National Guard Unit there flies to Antartica on a regular basis during the Antartic Summer. I have and old friend that is a Master Sargent there and he may be able to get the pig on a flight and get a certified letter stating the ADVpig made the trip...

BTW, Count me in if any help is needed here in Alaska.

So far, reading back over the thread, here is what I have put together for volunteer riders for specific states/regions:

    Texas: dangerz
    North Georgia: helixblue
    Rockies: eaglefeather and myself (komito)
    Bay Area: srileo
    Wisconsin: gonzomup
    AK!!: kodiakfrank

Please copy/paste and add if you would like to be contacted when the ride through your area happens!

I will post this on the front page of my first post, to bring to the attention of other first time readers. Thanks for getting involved, everyone!

    Its BACONNNNN!!!

Homer: Are you saying you're never going to eat any animal again? What about bacon?
    Lisa: No.
    Homer: Ham?
    Lisa: No.
    Homer: Pork chops?
Lisa: Dad, those all come from the same animal.
Homer: Heh heh heh. Ooh, yeah, right, Lisa. A wonderful, magical animal. :poser

Texas is a big place :deal I'd be happy to help out with the ADV Swine transport... :nod

I still need to buy a pig. I've found near hundreds for sale but im struggling to make a choice. It is a very important decision :D . I'm not worried about the cash, just worried about getting the 'right' pig. stay tuned.....:ear

Can anyone remember the Toyota advertisment where they showed a normal pig turning into a feral pig with the slogan "Want more grunt?"?? You used to be able to buy the feral pig stuffed toys from toyota dealers... That would be cool but I cant find any. The add was over twn years ago now... :cry

I'm right on the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin, so I can cover part of both states if needed. I'll also offer to co-ordinate hand-offs, schedules, whatever for the upper midwest states.

Lemme see if any of the other ADVriders in the area want to play.
