But - what should I say?

Are you still outside, Jack, or have you returned home? I'll send Kevin and Annie your best.

Tell them to slow down so they won't have as many flats. :lol3

Back home...for nearly two months. After the heat, humidity, and heavy traffic in Florida I didn't waste any time getting back to Alaska. Took a quick little ride over to the NWT on the Dempster, but not all the way to Inuvik. Too little time, too many things to do around home.

Stayed with Kevin & Annie on the way home - Kevin's looking a lot better now. Be sure to tell them I said Hi. Watching their SPOT tracks.

Kind of like the sand traps in the overflow camping @ the old Bulow campground during bikeweek in Daytona.
Leaving Greenville SC Tue am. The route is N/W till Thursday.

OK, I'll get back to you on a time. :thumb

I am reasonably well known there. :D

I can't help it really. The food is wonderful. The riding in the area is fabbo, and it's fun as hell there.

For some reason, the last piece of pie always tastes the best. I think it's because it is sweetened with the essence of denying it to other people. :lol2

I had the peach pie today. Maaaaaahvellous!

Messed around and played tourist this weekend in Duluth.. Mostly just down to Canal Park (downtown)..

Watching 1000'+ ships come through, taking the harbor tour, stomping around the canal museum, doing the museum ship, and just people watching.. A weekend isn't enough time to take in Duluth..

Too bad I'm 1600 miles away and already made that trek on my Ducati Monster a month ago

    Well, there's always VBRIV???:lol3

I just happened to be on vacation, running the UP last week.. I decided to burn Holiday Inn points instead of camping, and Duluth's Blues festival had everything booked last weekend, so I did the east to west route, ending in Duluth after starting in Sault Ste. Marie the weekend before.

Seems weird to leave Saturday afternoon, only to make the almost 400 mile ride back up this upcoming weekend, but I can enjoy the rally and the Trials events and not feel like I missed out on Canal Park.

I'm sure I'll have to get back down there for some mini donuts at Crabby Bill's..

Paper, is there a museum that allows you on the ship or was one tied up and allowed people on?

I would like to get on one of those ships.

The William Irvin is in Duluth, and is a museum you can go on and look around. That's the one paper was on - it's pretty cool, well worth a visit. It's down by canal park, just a short walk from Grandmas and the lift bridge where you can watch the ships come in. It really is worth spending some time looking around down there. Watching the thousand footers come in is really very cool.
