While Jane and Tarzan lived in the lush part of Africa, the scenery in some of the places we will be travelling look more like in this photo ( Namibia). These two adventurers are trying to decide who will be the first to ride off into the sand, gravel and dust and be the first to view the incredibly stark but beautiful landscape.

Mine is not ready to go!. I have two things to do:

    1. Les has some new bark busters on order that I hope to install this week,
    2. I still have to get the mud out of all the little places after Gary sent me into his favorite mudhole in Meaford.

Im curious as to the run down on bikes everyone chose, seems to be some old reliables there. I believe I saw a post with Bob and Bev,s, 650 Beemer and??, seems to be some DR,s KLR,s etc., any one have a list.

So jelous right now, but this ones on the list for sure, what a great bunch.

Well, I am packed and ready to go. It will be an anxious two months waiting to get on that flight to Africia. I am really looking forward to getting back to Africa and on those wonderful roads again. It should be a fabulous adventure , we just need a catchy title for the trip like "THE ZANBZ ADVENTURE" or JUST AN OTHER WAY ROUND" or ? :clap

Thanks Darrell, as usual you have been working hard to ensure eveything has been accounted for and the group is taken care of. Looking forward to seeing you and Michelle in August.

well, The valves are now adjusted and the oil changed. I'm just waiting for the filter to dry so I can re-oil it and get it all buttoned back up. The only thing needed then will be the new Barkbusters....If they're not in in time, I'll just have to pack them myself and install them when I get there...no big deal.

Unfortunately I have a flight booked for Japan Sunday and have to be at the airport by noon, so I won't be able to help with the loading....though Gary did say that engineers weren't welcome anyway :augie

Les has kindly offered to truck my bike over for me so I'll be dropping it off with him on Saturday.....I really appreciate it.:clap
