Honda Australia have one, Darryl Beaty's been seen on one, both reckon they are good. Neduro rode one in SA and wrote in cycletalk that it is a good thing.
Matt Fish has ridden one and reckons it's not bad, power wise it isn't up to a 990 (and definitely not a 1190).
I think that sounds like a mighty fine idea!! any body shitting in this thread will be reply banned from the thread , go and play in off topic or JM if you want to be a douche Thanks one of your kind moderating team
I understand that Honda Australia reps have access to a few ATs that they are doing the rounds to dealers to get them excited. It smacks of an Amway meeting IMO! Funny how companies differ in their promotion. Honda have a leaking campaign that would not be out of place in Canberra. Motoz won't release info on their new tyres until they are in stock.
wtf is wrong with you people that you cant just use the avenues available to you to discuss stuff off topic or take the piss. Yes we take the piss in the out of KTM, BMW and Suzuki Riders (I happen to loath KAwasaki riders - sorry tREV) , all im trying to do is up hold the standards that we have held up in the other owners threads where generally they can discuss there bike without too much hassle and they can get on with farkles, mods and general maintenance. I have found these types of threads invaluable over the years and want to maintain there integrity.
So as a person who put money down on a new non dct AT, silver, I am excited to get a decent adv bike with proven Honda reliability and parts that shouldn't break the bank. I know it doesn't make the power of the big KTM and BMW, but Skill in riding can take care of those items...It is a weird marketing ploy, I guess im not sure if I will get one or not at this point, even with money down last Tuesday? Anyone have any input? Thanks!
What even makes you think that buyers haven't considered the weight of the bike? That is pretty much calling every AT buyer ignorant.
The comment was based on the fact some are calling it a game changer and to identify something that maybe missed in the hype. Dont get on you high horse, if this bike suits your needs then fantastic.
Who are all these people that say it's going to be a game changer? I can only think of one (you know who you are ) I've got no illusions with regard it's weight and my capabilities. I'm buying it cos it looks fantastic, looks comfy, sounds great, has decent suspension, decent size wheels, plenty of mumbo and six speed gearbox. I'm certainly not going to take it anywhere to fuck it or anywhere that's gonna fuck it for that matter But I will be giving it arseholes none the less cos that's what they are made for
My message maybe getting lost in the translation to some. Im not bagging the bike or the people that will buy one. My point is that with all the adulation heaped on this bike with Honda MoCo propaganda and the honda faithful, its still just another big adventure bike. Regardless of whether it has the best suspension or the most tractable engine, it still weighs over 200kg bare and in my experience lots of people have trouble riding big bikes when the conditions turn nasty. Im sure most realize this but some may get carried away in the moment. Ill be looking forward to the stories from new owners just as much as anyone.
So after 8 years and nearly 100000ks of completly trouble free, absolutely faithful service from my old tranny (who I punish like a redhead step child), I will not be hesitating in the slightest to when it comes to purching the new AT. A bike with twice the power, similar weigth and more suspension. No brainer IMO.
Exactly ! Doesn't matter whether you meant pushing, punishing, purchasing or punching into corners, it's all true !
