Arriving in Cape Town, we had to decide what to do. We still had time and money and no urge to go home. Go up Africa on the west side was not possible at the time. (The civil war in Angola lasted until 2002). We then came up with the idea to ship or rather fly the bikes to India and ride home from there. We had no clue how to organize it so we went into town and just went into a travel agency and told the young lady our story. She was fascinated from our trip and that we were on our honeymoon and immediately got on the phone and searched her computer. She knew it had to be cheap and was so helpful. Shortly later we had the address in the hand of guy that would crate our bikes and then bring the crates to the airport. And we had a really cheap flight with Air Mauritius to New Delhi, but you had to do a stopover on the island. And again the young lady found us an affordable beach bungalow for a couple of days on Mauritius where we could wait until our bikes arrived in Delhi. Of course after the second day hanging around on the beach we got bored and rented a bike to explore the island.

So the African part of this trip is over.
Question: do you guys want the ride home from India - although it is not Africa - or do I jump directly to the next Africa trip (yes I still got some thing coming).

    What do you think?

I'm so enjoying your thread. I'd be thrilled to just have continued posts from you about anything, but since you're asking..... I'd love to hear about India. I'd enjoy the timeline.

Thanks for taking the time to do this.

My vote is to keep on with your honeymoon adventure through India and then, if you still have free time, follow on with your next Africa trip. Thanks for providing us with this wonderful entertainment.

Another vote for continuing the time line. And please don’t forget the bike rental on Mauritius before you continue in India :-)

and I guess we are all stoked to know that there is more Africa to come after that! :beer
