There is an airhead shop in Vicenza IT just south west of Venice that probably has one on hand

I need some guidance. I have an R60/5 rebuilt speedometer. I have posted it here and on IBMWR for $425 or best offer. I based the asking price on previously sold similar items on Ebay. I have received zero inquiries or offers. I realize that the R60/5 speedo may be less desirable than an R75/5 unit, so I would expect maybe a lower offer. Am I that far off on my asking price? I don't have a problem asking for less, I would just like to sell it for a fair price. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm not interested snarky responses. If you can't be constructive, please don't reply.

The bike the speedo came from has a 37/11 final drive.

I have seen your speedo for sale, and whoever rebuilt it put the wrong style needles on it. That may be a deal breaker for someone looking for an all original one. They may also question the quality of the rebuild because of the wrong parts. Do you have a receipt from the rebuild to know how long/how many miles ago it was rebuilt, and who did the work?

Unfortunately, that information is long gone. That speedometer came with a 73 R60/5 that was purchased for parts. The gentleman we bought it from had it in storage for years and lost the paperwork. That is a good idea to have the speedo recalibrated for an R75/5.

If I am correct, a brand new /5 speedo unit is around $500 from BMW.

Unfortunately, yes ... I purchased a new motometer direct replacement for my 75/5 yesterday from Motoworks in the UK for less than $300 shipped to California. They also have them for 50/5, 60/5, different final drive ratios's, mph or kph. It arrives in less than a week via FedEx.

Point taken. Just to mention though, that the ones from Motorworks UK that ‘cwroady’ refers to above, claim to be genuine Motometer units, but also have the tenths? I guess who’s to say that the original manufacturer themselves didn’t add tenths to subsequent replacement units? Just speculating...!

I was handed a box of assorted cables and carb parts from airhead to k to oilhead to f-bike yesterday. A friend who rode BMWs for decades cleaned his garage.

Got 'em all identified except for this one-

    Any ideas?

Nah, too short, even for low bar applications, and the lever end is weird...
