Basic Airheads FM rules (borrowed from the OZ forum):

    If you're selling...
Price - You must include a price.

Location - You must include a location in the ad, the location under your user name may not be correct or specific enough.

No external links. - No links to ebay, craigslist, etc. Directing inmates to external ads without links will also be removed.

Bumping - You may not bump your ad more than once per week (7 days) and must nuke the original ad, if not you will lose both.

Ownership - If it's not yours you cannot sell it, ask your buddy to register and sell it himself. - Immediate family members excluded.

Content - Only Airheads or Airhead related products & gear.

Correspondence - All correspondence to be conducted by PM not in the thread.

Compliance - Ads that do not comply with the rules above will be deleted and you will have to do a new one.

Expiration - Ads expire after about 10 weeks and will be removed from view.
    If you're looking...
List what you need, with as much detail as someone who might have it would need to know they have a match (year, model, etc.) As above, carry out correspondence by PM and clean up by deleting your post after you get what you need.
How to help make the flea-market a better place:
When you sell it, or bump it, go to "EDIT" at the bottom of your original post and then tick the "NUKE" box to delete the post.

If it is "Sold pending payment", add those words to your post.

If your ad disappears it may have been deleted by a mod as it did not meet the rules or it has expired, please read the rules and re-submit your ad. We can't write to each and every person whose ads do not comply.

We've noticed that Tapatalk, and maybe other apps, don't always show the subject/title of a post. So, please be sure to put the price and description of what you're selling, or looking for, in the body of your post. Otherwise folks scanning with one of the mobile apps might have no idea what you're going on about

If you want to hold forth and impress us with your knowledge of the 247 engine and Luftmeister fuel tanks, or just find out the value of that CC Products fork clamp, there's a thread for Airhead Fleamarket discussion. Please use it.
These ads are free - if you have a successful sale please consider a donation to help keep this site going.

Finally, this thread is not for Commercial Sellers. Commercial posts will be punted to the Vendors forum.

P.S. Where'd that ad go??? Old posts and expired ads get moved to https://advrider.com/f/threads/airhead-flea-market-thread-closed-and-archived.787704/. PMs get deleted.

(sorry Ben, I hijacked your post. - Andrew)

This thread is for listing Airhead items for sale between inmates. It's not a discussion thread for commenting or crapping on what's posted. You have questions on something, send a PM. You want to "discuss" items for sale, or comment on what something might be worth, there's already a thread for that: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=898744

Essentially, we're following the OZ rules: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=22451577&postcount=1 which means expired posts, and posts for sold items, should be deleted.

And for the love of jeebus, don't reply to posts here with a "PM Sent" message... :baldy

Thanks, but has to be the small tank to keep the bike looking as it is now.

Add a bit of top bracing, and make up a tank to go where the battery was.

Folks, please remember the posting guidelines for this thread: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18604677&postcount=1

In addition to general guidelines, please remember to go back and delete your posts after you find/buy something, and please also do not carry out your correspondence in the thread - send a private message directly to the inmate. Writing "PM Sent" here only clutters things up.

    Thanks. :thumb

    O

The "goldteeth" posts are punted to the basement for now... I hope you guys get your money back :bluduh

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1040326

Furthermore, there is no reason to ever post a "PM Sent" reply. Send the damn private message, the other person will get it, all's good. There is no "dibs" protocol here where first person to shout out their desire to buy/sell a thing wins... do it by private message, out of the thread, and let the person who is looking for or offering goods deal with the responses, and then update their post as "Sold" or "Found" or just delete their post.

    O

Again, a reminder that anyone using the Tapatalk app will not see the words in the titles of your posts - they'll only see the text I quoted here, which might seem weird or unfinished, lacking the text in the title that gives relevance and context to the post. Consider including the "title" text in the body of your posts, if you want to reach the broadest audience.

The way it works here is you "start" a "conversation" with the fellow inmate you want to correspond with. Click on their user name, and you'll see the option for that. We used to call this sending a "private message" aka PM, but this thread is for items wanted and items for sale, not messages between inmates.

Hello 'Heads, some news to share: Baldy brought back the Donate! link, it's way down at bottom of the page, look to right or left. On each page. :ricky

If you've ever felt moved to give back, financially, to the site for all you've gained from it, and who hasn't, or if you've profited from selling something in the Airhead Flea Market, you can easily send a few bucks to Baldy to help pay for the maintenance and hosting of ADV. It's a good thing, you should all consider it, but please don;t feel over-pressured. It's a free site, an no dues are required.

Heinrich tank for /7. $1,400 plus shipping at actual cost.

It will fit a /6 so long as you use a /7 seat with it. I do not know the capacity. It does not look like it has been used since the Motosport paint job was applied. I could not get a picture of the inside, but it is in good shape. There is some surface rust in the bottom, but it does not look like there is any depth to it. It would need to be cleaned and coated prior to use. The Motosport paint job is good if that color scheme works for you. Flush gas cap (shown) is NOT included. Shipping will be whatever it costs me from Danielsville, GA USA 30633. I get a bit of a discount from UPS.

The guidelines here are REALLY simple :deal

If you're selling something, it has to have a price. No external sales links (like CL). If you have a question for the seller, ask them through a private message. If your item sells, delete your post. All posts are cleared after a couple of months. And all "dibs" & "PM sent" posts are deleted.

    Thanks.

Advisory to anyone using PhotoBucket - many of you have a level of service in your accounts there that does not support the bandwidth your posts here would would consume. In other words, we can't see your pictures because PhotoBucket is not showing them. Consider paying for a service, like smugmug, or using an alternate free hosting site.

What you do is click on the member's name, and then "start a conversation" with them, also known as sending a "PM" (Private Message). Please don't take up space in the thread with back and forth between buyers and sellers, that should more appropriately be handled in private. There is no "dibs" system here, it's up to the seller to weed through any offers that come in, and decide who to sell to.

A comment on that... the hosting here is not free, Baldy has been paying for it for a long time. Anyone who appreciates the site, that it hosts attached images, and that it has helped them sell or buy cool Airheads & parts, is quite welcome to make a donation. See the Donate! link at the bottom of any page.
