Looking for a 91 r100gspd stock windscreen
Putting some feelers out there, as I've been thinking about selling my 1974 R75/6, to buy an r100gs
I'm the third owner, and I've had the bike for 6 or 7 years.
The owner before me had the bike since 1976, when his best friend decided to move off for college and sold it to him.
It's bored out to accept r80 pistons. A few years ago I rebuilt the top end- new rod bearings, piston rings, stainless pushrod tubes, new pushrod seals, lots of head work (kibble white valves, port and polish, new seats, guides, springs, equalized combustion chamber, heads decked just a little bit) etc.
New clutch last year- Friction plate, pressure plate, compression plate. I did the rear main seal, and oil pump o-ring while I was in there.
It has a spiegler stainless front brake line with black vinyl coating to retain an oem look.
I have two different sets of crash bars that go with it.
Comes with rear rack and krauser bags
I also have Wixom ranger bags and mounts. The bags are in poor condition, and in a "project state" but I'lll throw them in.
The bike currently has the larger touring tank, but I also have the original smaller tank. Both original Monza Blue.
Newer throttle and clutch cables. Newer spark plug wires and boots.
Last year summer rode from Portland Oregon down to Big Sur, California without a single problem.
Last week I took the long way (zig zagging through central Oregon) to Boise and back. On the way back my generator light came on. I suspect the diode board, but I will confirm and fix that this weekend. While I'm in there I will throw in some new points/ condenser, new brushes I have, and maybe a new cam seal which is sitting in my tool box.
I'll probably do a valve adjustment, carb sync, and fluids this weekend too.
The speedo broke on me a few years ago. I just use my phone gps speedo mounted to my bars. The starter is getting tired. Probably good candidate for a valeo swap or starter rebuild in the next year or two.
I'd trade for an r100gs, or maybe an r80gs. I'd also be willing to sell it. $4500 is what I'm asking, but I'd entertain offers. Clean title and registration in my name.
If the price is wack, or anything else seems weird or off let me know.
I'm in Portland Oregon.
That looks like a nice clean slash six, do you have anymore photos?
Complete front fairing + windscreen from 1985 R80RT in red (not smoke).
Any of the smaller pieces that fit in a USPS flat rate box for $40, shipped to the lower 48.
OR-- take the whole thing including the windscreen (local pickup in NYC) for $250
that an absolute gem at a very fair price!
Also have a pair of chrome OEM panniers (saddlebag racks). Left one has been professionally repaired. Fits monolevers. $40 for the set or $25 ea + shipping.
Found one in Alberta! Thanks for reading.
WTB: Looking for a decent R100GS Parabellum touring windshield to mount on my R80G/S. Not the new one for PD fairing, the old school barn door one: http://parabellum.com/R100GS-Sport-Shield-old-style-P17.aspx
Looks like this
WTB: Seat for my R100RS
Someone liberally coated the seat I have for my RS with something very slippery that has since baked into the finish, that and the seat is worn out.
Anyone have a good used seat for a reasonable price out there? Motobins has new one for ~$170 and looking at used to spend less than that.. catch my drift?
Corbin seat for SWB /5. $250 plus shipping from 91602
That’s dust on the seat. It’s barely used. The seat, not the dust.
Wixom bags. $100 plus shipping. No major issues with these. What you see is what you get. They came with racks but those aren’t for a BMW. Moto Guzzi maybe but I dunno
Hi Michael... I have a screen. PM me with a phone number and I will give you a call.
Cleaning my mom's house and found the original centre fairing from my dad's first R100RS. He had replaced it with the full grill piece at some point. He wrecked that bike many years ago, so I thought someone here might need or want it.
In excellent condition, some stone chips around the gills, but the centre is very clean. I believe its Alaska Blue, but would be happy to be corrected. All the tabs are there, nothing broken. Part number 46 63 1 237 660.
$50 USD obo plus shipping. I'm in Peterborough, Ontario.
A brand new primed and ready to paint from the dealer is USD$72.20 so no, $75 would not exactly be a fair price. Generally speaking used parts in serviceable condition go for 50% of the new cost. I'd price that cover at $40 asking price.
This is just my opinion of course; others may disagree.
Couldn’t find an OEM seat for a cowl a few corbins
Monoshock off of a 1985 R80. 35 years old, but worked when removed. $40 obo plus shipping.
/7 Solo Seat from Motorworks UK. I've owned it since new for about 2 years. It is in really good shape with 2 exceptions:
1. The cover is coming loose around the bottom/back. Should be pretty easy to glue back in place
2. The front pivot hinge was lost going down the road. They can be bought or it would be fairly easy to fabricate.
Asking $150 plush shipping obo.
Clutch perc and lever. Intended for use on my R90/6, but the levers didn't match so this one is available if anyone wants it. $20+shipping or if that price is completely unreasonable then let me know...
Please note the two faint lines on the right side of the perch in the 1st image. The top line is a scratch, the second line is a slight crack. Not structural, could be filled and painted...
Anyone happen to know where I can buy a gast tank cap for the regular old screw in that were on the R100RT's?
Didn't someone figure out that napa has a generic plastic one that fits in a pinch? If you wanted real, try roland.
WANTED: a frame mount to fit an R65 frame, to install a "Rabid Transit" fairing. I have a "Rabid Transit" fairing mount for a /6, which does me no good.
