I am happy with my 18’ but still tempted. Doesn’t have the new ECU that the 21’s have but that is the only big thing. Even the pricey thork tablet.

I'm going to open mine up this winter and see if I can relocate the radiators down or back and inch - that would solve the turning radius issue. Not sure what might perfect that until I look.

I have seen some put a bend in radiators to get more turning. Think just a large diameter pipe and brute force.

They picked the bend radius and location though.

I assume it's got the Thork ECU update, so is the 2021 all that different? Well, different suspension linkage, Athena ECU, different fork internals ? (i think). Biggest problem with the 2021 models is...you can't find them. Pretty sure that last allocation is sold out, next batch due in January?

Doesn't say Thork ECU, just the Thork tablet. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/432248101522353/

All the upgrades make it a great deal: steering dampner, headlights, thork tablet, gas cap, handguards, skid plate, etc... One could add the Thork ECU upgrade or hope AJP releases and ECU upgrade kit.

If anyone is interested, the ktm 990 magura clutch hose is a perfect fit with 5inches extra in length.

I messaged you through advrider. Maybe that function doesn’t work so well. Did you buy through one of the AZ dealers? Pick up up or have it shipped? I’m interested in getting on a list for the next batch. Just stinks that we don’t have a local dealer.

Rear rack (3D Moto or ADV ENG) and ADV ENG radiator guard would be the big ones for me. Other things would just be ergonomic preferences or steering damper.

Lol, I think he meant changes from the factory. Model year changes. I’m betting on new stickers. But I’m with him; ready to make the leap.

Misread that…In that case, I would bet very little if any changes from 21 to 22. In the past it has been 2 yr update cycle. 17’, 19’, & 21’. I am sure I am missing some things but these were the major things. I would suspect AJP makes some small changes constantly as needed.

19’ had upgraded tablet, fork improvement (red changed to gold/fixed anodizing), FI map/tuning improvement
21’ new ECU/tuning, euro5, new tablet/tablet housing, change to closed cartridge forks, real OBD connection.

Finally received my license plate :)
Took it for a ride, but still in the break in period.
And managed to read back in the forum so I know that the luggage rack is recommended.

Congrats with the bike. It is so much fun and versatile.
I use the rack you linked. Does what it is meant for. Although I wished I didn’t need one, I am glad I put it on. Much easier to fit a bag.

yep.. the dealer confirmed.. thanks.. I was hoping for at least an upgrade to the crappy looking graphics.. supposedly they are building the 22 models right now.. hopefully won’t have COVID related parts or shipping issues and I may be riding by Christmas…. anyone want a nicely set up 2020 790 Advr?..
