(2018 Rallye) Just mounted my Akrapovic header and of course the SW-MOTECH skid plate interferes . Anyone have any luck with other plates bolting up without modifying them? If not I'll modify what I have.
    Thanks Guys.

Altrider’s skid plate will not interfere.

It's a bit fiddly but if you unhook the springs from the rear tab it goes on a little easier. The fiddly part is fishing the springs back up to re-engage the hook.

Pro tip; use a proper spring tool, vice grips will only make you angry.

I put on Remus headers and they required an Altrider skid plate--it's expensive but is very good.

I have a Akrapovic Ti header with the Altrider skidplate. As mentioned above I originally put the springs on then, removed the springs, mounted the skidplate and snuck the springs back in with a spring tool while the skidplate was already mounted (but the bolts were still loose for a lil wiggle room).

Do you want to sell your original header pipes? I damaged my right side header when "meeting" a large rock off road. Bike is still rideable but eventually I want to replace. Let me know wha you want for both sides r just the right.
    Thanks

I have the titanium header and the silencer ... Black Dog plate does it perfectly and no issues at all.

Thanks for posting info on this combo of header with one of our plates. Always good to see what combinations riders are using out there.

Great photo as well. Mind if we post of copy of this in our Show Your Belly thread? We'll include photo credits and a shout out to you :ricky

Will the akra headers fit the stock can? I was unable to find a clear answer on some retailers sites. I've looked into doing the slip-on, but all the real gains come from the headers according to their site.
