Ok, so this one was on my way to TN from AK. It's the Super 8 in Brandon, MB. This must have been some party! It seems that they brought in 18 women for the night.

And here is one last one. This one is about an hour outside of Minneapolis. Right after leaving this rest area I heard about the bridge collapse over the CB.

Bridge or no bridge, the sign is still funny:

I signed the log book at Sally's. Friendly owners and good food. Stopped there twice, once going up the Alaskan Hwy., and second heading down the Cassier Hwy.

I know Eric is on his way to Anchorage now. Once there he is picking up the GS 1150 ADV and riding up to Prudhoe, then back to Chicago. I'll ask him if he plans on picking it up.

    Hi All,

I bought a GS up here (AK, I am Palmer) about a month and a half ago and am riding South to Portland. I'm not necessarily looking for a riding partner but was wondering if anyone else is planning a ride down from Anchorage area on the 14th of September or around there. PM me if you or know anyone who might be interested. Thanks!!

I'm in Anchorage but probably won't be near Sally's for about 10 days or more. It will depend on if the weather cooperates with a run up to Deadhorse or not. I'll keep an eye on the forum and WILL stop by there on my way through, I just hope they will be there. I wonder if there is somewhere they could leave it for me to pick up if they're gone...

I've been obsessing about going to Alaska for YEARS, hopefully in another summer or 2 I'll be able to make it up there.

Just let us know if you "miss" them. Two options then. We put the word out for someone coming south in October... or we pick it up next year!! We'll just have more in it by then... :D

I'll let you know what happens either way. In the meantime, here's a photo from the first part of my trip. You can see more here, http://www.ericsyn.com/alaska2007/cruise.html.
