    Hi Froger.

Noted with thanks. I'll be hugging the PCH up and most probably taking I-5 back south> It is comforting someone is keeping an eye on my journey. :photog

    Dear All,

Thanks for all your input. I have been on the road with no Internet connection. Here is a brief report on where I have been. The trip is a blast with many beautiful scenery and interesting stories. I am now in Fairbanks taking a break. After many days on the road and camping with very basic creature comfort. Its time to recharge my devices and mend the gear.

I started off from Reno, Nevada and get to the Pacific Coast taking Highway 1 up north and visiting friends along the way. In Vancouver, I changed tires and brake pads and hope these will last for the trip. Then eastward to the Canadian Rockies via Banff, Jasper (jammed packed with tourists) then north to Dawson Creek through the cold rain and did my oil change in my friend's garage somewhere in Prophet River. Get baclk on Alaska Highway and rode all the way to Dawson City. Did the Top of the World Highway into Alaska and stayed in Eagle Claw campground, Tok as recommended by many of you. Good advise. Then up to Fairbanks where I am now.

All the way the 2005 KTM 950 Adventure performed well and didn't give me any problem. No one shoot me when they saw the Che's side bags either. :rofl

If it’s over St Patty’s day the bars will be filled with college revelers.

But seriously, March in WI is real iffy, it can be nice or it could be a snow storm. Streets have salt and sand and MCing can get “pizza board on marbles”.

As a tourist, it depends on your interests. In hotel lobbies they have free brochures that you can grab if something jumps out at you.

    Hi lawrence124,

Yes, it was Nick who posted the video. I met him on Dalton Highway and paired up for 3 days. Thanks for sharing the video.
I am glad you also plan to visit Alaska this summer on a motorcycle. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
