Have you ever taken a trip that was just so much fun that you worry if you'll ever have a trip like that again. This was one of those trips.

HOB, I have this fear EVERY year! Fear sets in around the time I'm boarding the plane, ferry, or after hitting Fast Eddys in TOK. Great shots!:evil :wave

Sleepy bikes...... Pics before help was the mantra on this trip.

That Guy practicing some power slides -

BorgGS getting one of his dumps out of the way on day 1 (yes there were more....). This was obviously terrain related...look how loose the footing was! -

I was feeling left out so I gently set mine down just to fit in......(I really need to work on my self esteem....) :rofl

For some reason the pic of HOB's bike getting sleepy is MIA..... It DID get sleepy too!!

I think that this fits here...

I just got back from a 2200 mile ride on a 250cc scooter from Salt Lake to Toledo.

The trip offered up some great off road opportunities.

I ran into a couple of other riders on the route.

    All rides offer some challenges.

    All rides offer unique views.

All rides introduce you to new places.

    Even the bad was good.

But all rides have and end.

And I'm now home and it's all a distant memory.

"Road Closed".....Yeah right! If they actually wanted it closed, they would have locked the gate!!

Oops...this one is locked! No problem!

I think we forgot to close the upper gate behind us (about 15 miles behind us!)....now look what followed us down! :lol3

There is a scientific theory that suggests that; given the relatively massive distance beween subatomic particles within an atom, it is possible for two distinct entities to occupy virtually the same space at the same time allowing the entities to essentially pass through one another without destruction or disruption to either entity.

On a beautiful late May evening near Flaming Gorge, Wyoming this phenomenon was witnessed first hand by Gary (Borg GS) when he saw Thatguy, on his silver GSA, occupy the same space containing one of the very plentiful local deer.

"There is no way they did not make contact." Gary said about the event. Both deer and motorcyclist, however; emerged unscathed.

    Above Thatguy reenacts the event.

When pressed for comment, Thatguy stated: "Damn, that was close!" :eek1

That's hilarious! There was nothing I could do but go faster. I had this crazy idea that if I went faster I could split it in half and get out without going down. Those things were THICK in those parts. :D

The faster you go the fewer you see. :evil Beaver and I didn't see any deer till you two caught up and said the herd had been trying to take you out, then they were everywhere! :eek1 Guess we should have kept going....

I wasn't quick enough with the camera and Dapman was too busy pulling safely off the road to get a shot of the fleeting mountain ram but it happened........

True story: Traveling south on the Cassiar a few years ago Team P was just north of Bell II when we passed a group of mountain goats "just" off the right hand side of the road. Dapman was immediately behind me when the herd decided to cross in front of us. I was so close I could hear the hoofs "clacking" on the road as they scrambled across our path. My encounter was that close but paled by comparison to Dapmans who actually had one of these guys "high jump" him and his GS. True story....we had slowed to about 20-25mph because of the looming danger. After the closer-than-desirable encounter with the Ram, Dapman slowly pulled over, took a few deep breaths, and then went off into the woods to change is undergarments. Unbelievable.......but only because the camera didn't catch it.:huh

Not a bike picture but Fite seems to have found a "Little House on the Prairie".........a nice little fixer upper.

Hey Fite!? Want to tell the ADV community what you thought of the wall paper? I didn't think so. :rofl

"Ambers house of slave chicks" is what we called it......somewhere near Wasco.

Thanks for noticing the altitude issue. Generally I can get through a standard 6'8" door opening but I always duck just for GP. With the Aero Combat boots things get a bit tight.

By the looks of that photo I need to be a bit more concerned with girth rather than height.
Apparently I had bulked up just a bit for last year's journey...... obviously in preparation for several days of a near starvation regimentation.
    Think Bataan Death march.
Roads that guided our team through Trucker's Breakfasts, Montana steak feeds, micro-brewery tours, buffets of every sort, and rally food can leave a man malnourished. Can't be too careful.
    And guess what???

    I BEAT ANOREXIA !
