Which uniform are you going to be wearing Elefant?

So Smitty, he'll be the white helmeted, uniform wearing, weestrom riding, guy (remember the Great Alaskan Bush plans) with no money and a permanently affixed smile (From seeing Alaska, not the Alaskan bush's or the architecture)

I'll be the one who looks like he was just maced. I'm doing a bit of testing to see if it will effect me like it does the life long Alaskans.

Don't know how many of you have seen Snowrider's thread under Ride Reports, called "Just Another Alaska Ride", so here's the link.......He called me when he rolled into San Diego and I invited him to our typical, Thursday Night Bikes, Pizza and Beers.........scroll to the last page for photos from his visit with us in San Diego..........

Nice to hear Aaron made it to San Diego safe and happy.

It sounds like you showed him a very nice friendship event. That's very cool.

The cogs are all aligned for your visit. I have the weekend off and I am ready for a great time with friends also.

Very cool. So where is snowrider going after leaving San Diego?

GusGus, Aaron had a great trip so far, about 10,000 miles to San Diego. He absolutely loved Alaska !! He had some good input about areas, in addition to what you all have been telling me.

He is going up the CA. coast on Hwy. 1 to Big Sur, then as he put it, "turning right and heading home".

I suggested he not miss Yosemite National Park and Glacier Point, but he said it's too crowded and he's seen enough. I don't blame him, after being on the road through Canada and Alaska, for not wanting to go to Yosemite where it's crowded in the summer.

GusGus and all of you, I am looking forward to Saturday night, and then meeting you all for the ride on Sunday !!

    One week and counting.............

PS- I got my new Arai XD helmet, and a bunch of other gear and neat accessories from Aerostitch, stuff that I'll be able to use on this trip and future trips.

Ok ladies. The 21st ain't that far off and it's time to get out of the "uh, yeah sure... I'll be there" mode and into the "damn straight, I'm doing it" mode.

    Who's in again?

    Where we meeting again?

You still got your plans pointed in the right direction, Rad?

    Talk to me.

    OK,
I'll be picking up Rad at the airport on Saturday night and haveing a beverage with him. Then we are going to meet at my place the rancho Gusgus, In Big Lake at 10ish am, the next morning (Sunday the21st). And off we go.
I don't think very many will show, due to only one asking for directions. Oh well,, so be it.

    No word from Smitty either.

Friar and the Mrs's will be here, I think KL5A will be with us at some point. fugawi is planning on being there, as he has directions. And I guess you. Vagabond will only be at the Bush for a Saturday night architectural inspection.

    No word on others.

The plan is what GusGus stated. I pick the bike up at AK Rider in Anchorage Sunday morning at 8:00am. I have to pack up the bike, strap down my stuff, then off I go to GusGus's house.

If anyone is riding up to GusGus's from Anchorage, let me know if you want to meet at the AK Rider shop Sunday morning, we can ride up to GusGus's together.

Looking forward to our ADVrider Hatcher-Petersville Ride !!

I think most of you have my phone numbers, if you want to call for any reason, PM me if you want my cell phone. I will be in touch with GusGus by phone up until I depart San Diego.

Seems that I've been everywhere else this year, but haven't been through the pass yet. Weird, huh?

Vaga you know about architecture, right? I always look forward to admiring the construction, the materials, the firmness, the smooth surfaces with sweeping angles,,, UH,,,, of all the stuff. Whew I was getting all caught up in the moment. Sorry.
It will be so damned educational.
I'll PM ya with my cell number so you can coordinate with us for the evening of
architectural appreciation. I will be picking up Rad about 11:45 PM, getting him to his room and then off we go to the bush. You could just meet me there before Rad arrives so we can really plan on the best seating position for a new comer. It's called scouting, isn't it?
Not to long though, my heart has trouble with fine architecture.

Anyone else is welcome, but be warned,, I ain't gonna be there long, or spend lots of money. Check out a couple brick shithouses and be gone.

KL5A, I am glad to hear you are "in" you must remember how to find the RanchO Gusgus?

Legion, you haven't been here. Tie in with Fugawi, he has directions.

Rad could use a guide bunch to allow him some freedom to actually see some of the route, without worring about bypassing a turn. If you'all could plan on meeting him at AKrider on Spenard, next to House of Hardly.

Friar and little Miss Friar will be arriving as a team, at the RanchO.

My bride will also be escorting me during the ride, from the control position aboard the GS.

No word from Smitty, we will all miss her if she doesn't make it.

As long as none of your wives bar her from our ride. HA! :fight

Smitty you can ride with me anytime, my bride says so. She wouldn't be jealous, she has big loaded guns. Hope to see you.

I may have talked Eric from TMS to join us. We shall see.

    Ride !

Rad, I will meet up with you at that place next to the Harley Shoppe around 8am so we can ride out to the Rancho together.

Legion, I have the directions if you want to ride out with us. Between the three of us I figure we should be able to find him. My guess is we can just look for slide marks where he has been riding WFO and follow those to the door.

KL5A, I have not met you, but I did see you and your bike at the Denali H-D dealership when they had the Grand Opening. It was cold and snowy and all the H-D riders "drove". I thought it was wonderous to see your bike sitting outside. Looking forward to riding with you.

Eric, my blue GS is faster than your blue GS !!!!! (a challenge)

Sunday over the Pass, Petersville, ??? Beats mowing!

    smitty, wherefore art thou smitty

And someone told me they thought they had paved it all the way over :huh

I was talking to another gruver this evening. We think we may be getting wet on the Sunday ride.
I think as long as we plan on getting wet and also plan on having an incredibily wonderful wet ride, then if we don't get wet or only get a little wet, the ride will just get better and better.

If an Alaskan waits for dry weather every time, to ride, it is time to sell the bike. Or move to Lake Havasu.

LETS RIDE !!!!!:ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky :ricky

What's this Alpha Male talk? Or this 100 MPH dare?

Friar won't be to competitive as Mrs. Friar will have control of the situation. Not alot of 100MPH when the brides are sitting in the control position.

So there very well may be a new Alpha on this trip. I'm thinking it is RAD, The new Alpha Male! HOWL at the moon!

I wouldn't recommend Lake Havasu this week-Bastards just stole 3 bikes from my garage down there. Barb
