From Anchorage, Seward, Valdez etc. Which day cruise would you all recomend to take the wife on. Must see the calving glaciers but really want to see whales and other wildlife too.
Looking at the n1st week in July.

    Thanks,

Well you have a lot to choose from. Be it Glacier Bay, Kenai Fjords or Prince William sound.

Just go to www.travelalaska.com for more information and a description of the different tours. Alot will depend on where you are in the state. Most of the tours are out of Southcentral Alaska. If your in Fairbanks you can take a paddlewheeler on the Tanana.

Or you can always put the bike on the Ferry from Valdez to Whittier (about an hour from Anchorage. (or vis versa) and see much of the same stuff.

A real wifey thing to do would be to take the train from Anchorage to Seward, take the long day boat tour (includes salmon bake lunch) and then train back to Anchorage. Its a package deal that you can book in advance through a travel agent.

Or you can always take a day fishing trip, Halibut and Salmon charter, and catch fish while you look for wales.

Good luck, lots to choose from.
