I'm printing out your list and will have it with me in Alaska in June. Thanks!

Don't want to scare you, but be prepared to see a lot of "No Vacancy" signs, it is tourist season, you know.

Quite a range of places on your list. Some real dives and some very nice places.

My personal favorite is the Raven in Haines Junction. Treat yourself to a great place in the middle of nowhere. If your into torture try the Stardust :eek1

I made this list a little over a year ago.
I used The Milepost for some of the reference and I went on-line and did a search of most of the places that I would go through. I found that The Milepost tends to list their advertisers and may not have other places listed. But maybe the other places are to bad to list?
Ask other people you meet, and call ahead.

I found the lonely planet guide to alaska was a good resource. The still don't list everything but they aren't as driven by the advertisers as the Milepost is.

Thanks for the lists. I'll take them along, Seattle to Arctic Circle and back, via D2D, 6/6 to 6/25.
Never know when I might need a cooncise list like those. :super

Thanks from the Gulf Coast too! Planning on "tenting it" during the planned 31 days from MT to Prudhoe Bay (including the BMW rally @ Houston, AK) but if the weather or my butt goes south your list will become golden. Cheers
