    Hi ,I'm Gary
Been hanging around since I got back to motos with a 09 KLR after 20 years focused on bicycles and family. I'm in the Edmonton area, actually, Fort Saskatchewan. Sold my KLR to a young enviro engineer named Andrew who took it on an adventure to South America and actually coincidentally made an appearance in an Epic ADV ride report by Two moto kiwis. I'm now the happy owner of a 2012 Triumph Tiger 800 XC that I've put 25000 km on in the last 2 summers including 7000 km on a solo trip to D2D and Alaska this past June.
I don't really know why ,cuz I really like my Tiger, but I'm now secretly hankering (Wife doesn't know I'm serious) for a new Moto Guzzi Stelvio 1200 NTX. Guess we'll see what happens :evil:evil:evil

Live in Bonnyville. Some people call it DS heaven with all the gravel grid roads, some call it it DS hell. Either way there's lots of roads to ride, many lakes to explore and if you look around, there are some pretty interesting rides in the area.

New to ADV, but not new to bikes, is ADVrider the best place for Canadians (albertans) to come to? Seems like posts are far and few between here.

Anyway, from the Edmonton area, looking for riders or groups to join, I have quite flexible schedules, ride gravel/pavement/reasonable off road, but not looking to take dangerous single tracks, getting stuck 10 times a day, or speed freaks. ATGATT, mostly looking for multi day trips.

    PM or post here,
    Thanks.

YEG here, riding a 2014 DL650 V Strom coming from a thumper background looking for other riders to meet up and ride as well. Prefer gravel travel to blacktop to get there, haven't done long distance before just looking to meet some like minded riders... doesn't matter what ya ride just that you ride.

I'm also kind of new to ADV but definitely not new to any kind of riding, sold my BMW 800 in the fall and love my new 2016 1190 ready for new adventures.

I ordered a Honda AT, should be here in about a week, I sure hope it lives up to the hype, most dealers are sold out of them or have quite a few presold.

Hoping not to offend ADV, but for all you Alberta riders, check out albertadualsport.ca if you haven't already. Many members are on here as well but post ride planning on albertadualsport. We have regular coffee nights in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Cold Lake.

That is probably true, everyone Edmonton area and North is usually too busy working!

Thanks Ph, I will check out AltaDS and see if there is much action over there.
