Adventure bike riders in South East Michigan are about as common as 100million dollar lottery winners, plenty of other riders, you can’t throw a rock without hitting a Harley rider and that would bounce off and hit a sport bike. But an adventure bike, well I’m somewhat of a curiosity a UBO if you will, a Unidentified Biking Object. Although I will admit that usually with the curious stares I do, on quite a few occasions, get a thumbs up for my Africa Twin..

Any SE MI. Riders out there - you’d think there would be at least one other................

Coming at you from good ole Plymouth MI here been riding a GS since '05. Have since expanded to smaller DS bikes recently.

Seeing as how we're neighbors (I reside in Southgate), I have yet to see an AT in the neighborhood( or at least on Fort. St.). I'm usually headed westerly & southerly on my Multistrada, when I do have some free time for the bike... There is another Mutly rider on Grosse Ile also, but have not met up w/ him yet....

I'm in the Novi/Walled Lake area. Always down to ride or wrench....I have a shop at home and ride as often as I can. I rock 80s / 90s bikes, and work on anything from old Harleys to old huskys. I ride thr thumb a few times a year, did half the UP in July, headed west in the spring and doing the UP again next Sept. Hit me up.

I’ve gotten triples, doubles, images I didn’t even select... was going to post a couple pics but don’t have the time to figure out what the hell this site is doing.. 5FE3FDA7-3999-40A0-BE25-952D7956EA26.jpeg

@ DeansZG The post above is what she looks like if you do see me - I was out yesterday (the 20th) - ride through Southgate a lot, usually down Northline to and from work. And this is is what you’ll see me in the snow..

On nice/reasonable weather days you will see plenty of GS's with the odd multi or Tiger cruising on N. Territorial between 23 and 52 (Chelsea), usually heading west for some nice roads in the morning (dirt and paved) and east in the afternoon on their way home. My adventure rides are more of the pedal variety (mountain biking) since selling my tagged TTR250. That said, my '73 Eldorado (Guzzi not Caddy) does very well on dirt roads.

Rode over the Thanksgiving weekend on the Strom. Ride almost everything between my VFR to DR250SE. A salt free rider. I'm in my mid 60's.

Rode with the Detroit Greetings group about 8-10 yrs ago when I was on a F650GSD. Great group but the ride over there, White Lake, was a long one for me.

Located NE Detroit subs. Local turf riding is M24 to the border and up into the thumb.

Nice AT, Dirt Dragon. I've lived in Gibraltar since '05, Brownstown before that... So far I haven't seen ya out there. But yea, very few ADV bikes around these parts. I'm on a V-Strom 650 bought new in 2012, also picked up a DR650 last year. Still getting the DR sorted but the Strom has been all over the place. UP, Minnesota, Adirondacks, West Virginia, Maine, and more, I enjoy seasonal / Forest Roads as well as paved. Most of the time if I need to get out of the house for a quick spin I head to Monroe County and/or Washtenaw County. Hope to see you out there some day. And not hanging with the pirates at Elizabeth Park, LOL! ;D

I'm in northern Oakland county. I typically park my Tiger next to 2 or 3 other Tigers and 2 KTM adventure bikes at work in Macomb county during our 2.5 good seasons. However, I also don't see that many of us on the road. Remember..

Let's give this puppy a bump.

Was there a bike in that pic?

Anyone interested in a meetup next year. Nothing big.

A proposal I have would be Algonac State Park, they have a pistol range. Unsurfaced roads all around, surfaced for those dirt shy. Could do run to nearby Harsens Island once the ferry issue is corrected.

Spent many years riding N Oakland Co. Could do a meetup at Bald Mtn and TS could lead us on a tour of his backyard.

    Other options, speak up.
