    Hey Stealth, Scramble and everyone,

I am in SG too. Imported my F800GS from the UK last year, but opening one of the IR here hasn't left me with much time for ADV.

Would be great to join you guys, especially on one-day outings.

I am off this Sunday to the Highlands for a couple of nights of twisties and cool air, think I will base myself at Bukit Fraser.

My first trip to Endau Rompin is on my blog at http://f800gsrider.blogspot.com/2009/06/so-my-bumblebee-has-been-with-in.html

Hey there, Twisticles (a great nic, btw), yeah I've read your blog before and it was excellent. Well give us a heads up when you can see some free time and perhaps we could pull a ride together. Hope you enjoyed your trip to Frasers Hill/Cameron Highlands :freaky

Great report and thanks for sharing.

Love the sunset pictures. Didn't think you could get such lovely sightings from Frasers. I must say the serene greenery and cool fresh air never fails to relax your mind.

The conti trail attack is indeed a great set of tyre. Gives you lots of confidence round the bends both on wet and dry tarmac. Had it on a R1200 GS that I used to ride.:beer

I've just did a 7days ride on my pig and managed to cover 3250km...Crossed 3 borders, and crossed back the same 3borders,going through night ride till dawn, morning ride till night, superhot day ride up to 38deg,then comes rain, long highways, twisties, steep rutty uphills accompanied by more uphills, downhills with razor sharp rocks, streams, dust, getting lost in some jungles with limited supply of water thousand of kilometers away from home,yeah...basically,this is what we all seek....in the name of adventure....:1drink

    Hey man...thanks...

We actually planned for a different location...alittle ambitious...but i believed,we can make it...that is...either Laos or Cambodia...becoz...initially,we have all set on a 10days road trip. But that also will depends on everyday changes on how the situation turn out each day.
During the few hours of the journey itself towards KL past 3am,was informed by the KTM rider that he had to cut short the trip to 8days...So since this is not a 1 man mission,me and Jali, the other XRR rider, have to come to agreement that we will be back by 31st March instead of 2nd APril.
So,we made changes to our route, that is to go up to Ranong instead of the earlier plans...

Ok,to cut it short, the route we took.
1st day-Gelang Patah JB to Hatyai
    2nd day-Hatyai to Krabi
    3rd day-Krabi to Ranong
4th day-From Ranong, cut over to the Eastern side route, all the way to Hatyai using Patthalung highway...damn boring ride, except the earlier start doing off-roading at Ranong Canyon.
5th day-Hatyai,to Pulau Bantang-Perak(i think)...we start doing trunk roads all the way once we crossed Sadao Border.towards SIK,Gerik highways and stay at a nice resort called Belum Rainforest Resort.next to a big lake.
6th day-Pulau Bantang to Jeli-straight down to Gua Musang-and somehow, end up in KL.
    7th day-KL-back home-Sillypore...

    :cry

for me, had short trip over Good Friday weekend..

first route with our local club Kruzers to a cave called Gua Tempurung.

    http://www.guatempurung.com/main.php

    route taken : http://bit.ly/bbJEt1

started the journey at Thursday midnight, and reached at cave in early morning..

then rest for a while and went for 4 hours walk / crawl inside lime stone cave..

:snore tired as hell, ride with eyes closed for a few moments, especially i didn't have enough rest on previous day.

    let's see some photos..

    reaching cave..

we had to jump, slide, crawl, all kinds of adventure that u can wish for..

    some friends..

after that.. stayed in Ipoh over the night.. had buffet dinner, slept like a stone ...

next day, we visited kellie's castle.. just to cam whore..

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellie%27s_Castle

most friends went back to Singapore but me and my wife decided to go over cameron highland since it's quite near..

and here's second part of the trip.

    route taken : http://bit.ly/91hUqQ

i didnt come back shorter way from pulai or tapah but backside itchy and took gua musung route.. which is nice but really time consuming..

left cameron highland around noon and at evening, i was about KL (i think same route as AJ took)

so we decided to check out French Theme Hotel in Bukit Tinggi.

    http://www.berjayahotel.com/berjayahills/index.asp

wife was pretty tired and we decided to stay over for one night.

and another reason for taking long throughout the journey was i had to go slow due to my rear tyre condition.
it was OK before the trip but after sweeping corners.. can see the strings underneath.

after that.. straight road back to home.. and have it replaced with Anakee2. tyre shop is surprised that i went to trip and came back with this condition.. :evil

well, it's good ride, had fun and safely back home..

Seems like you broke away from the group on an adventurous honeymoon ride.:wings

The Gua Musan/Cameron Route though long is always so refreshing.
You were a real risk taker with those tyres. BTW, how are the new Anakee2?
