FWIW, I bought Andes gear for my GF and not only does she like it a LOT, she did a 2000 mile trip in it last year in a variety of conditions and it kept her dry when need-be and ventilated the rest of the time - she's ridden pillion in it a couple times this year in cold weather and its kept her warm too.

Alpinestars seems to have gotten it pretty right with this gear.
