wayback we got a like button, a sometimes handy thing.

It is however become my experience that the majority of Australians either consider me unlikeable or are allergic to acknowledging anyone else's contribution.

Or did I miss a third alternative?

I like you, you are a bit weird, and left field sometimes, but you like bikes so you are all right by me. I think there is a dylan song there.
    Peace :-)

How much affection & validation do you require?

It's not that, wardy, but that I notice a fair undertow in here that we do not, are not acknowledging each other. I don't clearly understand why.

Like I care whether you like me or not.

You notice it when you get out into the other forums which is where I'd say a large majority of my likes actually come from despite most of my traffic being in here.

Fine and robust but thank you for asking Richard.

    “Like” ? ?

    That’s a very Facebook type thing isn’t it ?

I don’t have a Facebook account, I do very little social media, in fact this place is the ONLY social media site I use.

You’re not having a “late life” (as opposed to mid life) crisis are you Mouse ?
Looking for validation in all the wrong places ?

There is no like or not like . . there is just the ride.
Be at one with your self and ignore the overload of social media rubbish.

Oh yeah . . and well done on the fishing trip, this should run to 4 pages at least :rofl
(Bugger, there’s no Like button for your own posts. :dirtdog)

Ok, point in example, most of my recent ride photos are getting posted in the airheads picture thread mostly cause there people seem to be interested and acknowledge I've made the effort to share.

Here I just get the meh treatment pretty much.

To be sure I could be pissing in the breeze but it's the vibe I get and frankly respond to...

Or maybe we need an airhead style picture thread, a picture thread where we toss up shit we come across in the day to day and want to share. Hmmmm...

Likewise I don't do social media, it's here or the highway Andrew.

No, no crisis. I do spend some time considering the traffic and people involved here, I don't really like our community shrinking.

Ah, Richard, the weird and left field is intentional, I fish hard, years of tournament fishing groomed that well... but it's about conversing I aim for.

Shrinking community is often the result of narrow minded people on narrow minded streets.

i scan a lot of the Aussie threads, but i probably scan too quickly to even remember to like.
but this one is interesting for me atm.
i hardly ever post in Aussie, outside of the aussie DR.

some names i see a lot, yours is one of them.
you've generally always got a thought or two i relate to.
but don't worry that i don't appreciate the input.
it's just that some of the aussie stuff is out of my comfort zone i guess, so i let it cruise.
but your post is a good reminder for me to make the effort and hit the like more. :thumb

and for your third alternative that you missed..
occasionally i see stuff i don't like, and there's no button for that.
so i just made my own.. :lol3

so you're all good unless i post something like this to one of your posts,
sometimes it gets a funny response..

    3 Screen Shot 2018-01-30 at 4.22.29 pm.jpg Nogoodnamesleft doesn't like this.

    or

3 Screen Shot 2018-01-30 at 4.22.29 pm.jpg Nogoodnamesleft thinks your really, really stoopid..
