While I plan on being at the Buffalo I do wish they would have left it in October.

September 7-8 Land between the lakes dual sport.

September 14-15 Show Me 200 National DS in Missouri

September 21-22 Geneseo, Illinois dual sport and enduro

    September 28-29 Buffalo.

Lots of events and even more traveling time and miles.

Obviously that list doesn’t include other events that are on the schedule.

    September is a busy month.

Understand about the date. We have to work around tons of Indiana off roading events when scheduling the Buffaloe and do our best to not schedule it on top of another event.

What type of roads are on the adventure ride? I do asphalt and can do gravel, but I don't ride off-road-my bike isnt an off-road capable bike...

ADV portions- Back road pavement, gravel, and a few creek crossings (level depends on rain received). It’s all stuff I’d have done on my old Supermoto with 90/10 tires. Perfect for KLR650, DRZ400, BMW GS, Vstroms, etc.

Dual sport portion- several private properties with single track, and back roads connecting the properties. Perfect for plated dirt bikes, a WR with aggressive tires, DRZ with aggressive tires, etc.

Got out and scouted the ADV portion of the ride today. Route is about set. Dual Sport properties are coming along nicely as well.

    ankle deep is something.

I also wish they were on another weekend so our club could send a bunch down to ride again! We did it once in August and a small group came down last year too. excellent ride and lots of fun, but we have a ride that weekend too.

The DUAL SPORT route is 65% single track on various private properties. This is the one time of year you can ride these properties. Paint Ball Valley is on the list of properties. We will haul your gas can to the lunch stop via trailer, so bring a gas can labeled.

Let me get the total length and plan for Saturday and Sunday routes and get back to you. I plan the ADV portion and Another Stoney member plans the Dual Sport. I’ll get the info and post it. Good questions.

Dual Sport- The properties used are the same Saturday and Sunday. The connecting roads change. Again- these properties are private. You can only ride them once a year during the Buffaloe. Loads of single track. Bring the dirt bike with a plate. Total distance is 60 miles each day.

Adventure- public roads-gravel/dirt/back roads. 180 miles each day. Different routes each day. Very very minimal highway.

How much is the AMA license for both days?
I assume all registration takes place Friday night and no need to pre-register.

Thinking of trying my first dual sport ride.

“Free camping” what are the facilities like? Is it a campground? Electric? Showers? Toilets?
    Thanks
