I've been on advrider for a little while now and have noticed over the past week or two that whenever I access the forum via my smart phone I get a annoying pop-up that is a real pain to delete and also sets itself up as my default page when I access the internet. Anyone else experiencing this problem and the best way to prevent it from reoccurring. It's usually something from Amazon or Costco that says I've won something and attempts to get me to click a button.

I haven't had a pop-up since early 2017 but started having them on ADV Rider recently.

Clear your cookies on the browser. It's an annoying hijack thing and has nothing to do with ADV. Add an app called adblocker to your phone and it'll make that stuff history.

Yep, same thing here. I waste my time elsewhere once it pops up. Thanks for the heads up on fixing it, I prefer to waste my time here.

Yes, three times today, close browser every time. Have cleared cookies and data, using opera on iOS.

Still persists, its originating from something on this site.

I took a screen cap of what I’m getting. It’s one thing to get these on a porn site, but c’mon, this is the kind of thing that will drive away members in great numbers.

I send some similar screenshots to advrider webmaster directly via contact us. They are aware. Got that exact same one this am.

Yes, I agree, I avoid sites where these occur. It seems to be other forum sites (cycling for example) that use similar forum software where I have ran into this before.

Yes, I’m getting that same thing on my iPad, MacBook, and even my BlackBerry. Once they take hold closing the browser has been my only way to stop it.

It started this morning, and has increased in frequency...now about every 5 minutes. I thought being a Supporter would ensure I wouldn’t have to deal with stuff like this.

    Guess not.

This explains why it seems like the site has been very quiet lately, the stupid pop ups are driving people away.

Same problem here on Samsung tablet (android).

I'm using Chrome and the pop-up is persistent. I found a button for blocking pop-ups in the Chrome settings tab that was turned off. I switched it on and hope it works.

I'm pretty sure it's from something on Adv since my browsing habits have not changed for eons.

My FYI for another data point.

ETA - Nevermind. Still getting it. Happened right after clicking post #9 link. Back to the drawing board.
