Just picked up this little Spanish girl. A mid year 1969 250cc Ossa Pioneer. I also scored a 1973 Ossa Explorer but can't pick it up until this coming weekend. I may have to bite the bullet and buy an MAR just to complete the collection.
Love the Old Ossas. If your trying to complete the collection you can't forget the Stiletto or Stiletto TT.
Hey Doc, there's a guy down in Bath who has an Ossa collection you wouldn't believe. At least one of every model both domestic and european....simply amazing to see.
I have heard of the guy in Bath. I need to contact him at some point. I would love to add a stiletto someday!
That was my first real motorcycle. I brought it home in boxes back around 1976. That flywheel must weigh 10 pounds and is all brass. Mine was also in central NY. Makes me wonder........ Anyone have contact info for the guy in Bath? I'm a half hour from there.
How about a picture of your Explorer? I picked up a 74 Explorer, from the original owner! With new crank seal it runs great and I'm bringing it back to more like new. Turns really well and seems to have really nice power. Here is my old 70 Pioneer I brought back to life- sold it to a guy in Australia. It has the 'scrambler' bodywork on it (some where like that from new I understand) Mark
I see a Pioneer past the Explorer. I need to get going again on my Explorer- been riding the new one too much! No time to work on the old one, Mark
Thanks for the link, Flei. Drooool!!! I have an OSSA Super Pioneer and a Yankee Z. When I was a kid I had an OSSA 230 cc Wildfire street bike, red and silver as seen in this video. I turned it into a dirt bike...whaa...and have hated myself ever since!
