Anakee wild: started with 8mm depth, after 2500km it had 6.6mm, but after 8400 it has still 5.5mm... If it goes 14k, good for two rear mitas e09.

Well, I found something I think. The "rubber" in the choke plug was destroyed. Cut other rubber to the place. The idle is better too. I'm don't know the consumption yet, just 100km test ride was done.

Air filter: changed just pefore lockdown, not too much km in it (HFA 1612). There is some oil moisture evn in the air box...
The oil consumption is good for me, usualy 2-4dl for change to change, depend on usage (for example hot weather highway).

    Thanks for the cleaning tip.

    Bye,
    Lajbi

I posted this earlier an here's my fix, not as wide as I like but way better than before

Works Connection 1" Footpeg Widener and a stock 950/990 KTM Adventure brake lever pad, the KTM bit needs a little massaging to sit right before you weld it, but really not much.

Another question . Do the xl650 engine parts fit the nx650 ? To do an engine rebuild , can you use xl650 parts ?

Mostly. AFAIK the xr650l stroke is 0.6mm longer than nx650. Different gear ratios, but xr650l owners often swap to domi's 2nd and 5th gear.

Will the lower front fender fit on a 2018 XR650L with some modifications? Where can I buy one?
    Thanks!

Hard way I think. First, very difficoult to get plastics for this old bikes. For example, If I convert my nx650 high-fender, even then don't sell the fender and other front plastisc.

Second, there is not just the fender. There is a metal brace between fork legs (6 on picture), and quite special screws to hold the other plastisc too. So, you need to fabricate a special fork brace. But thus must be quite thin, becouse nx650 bolt on the fork...

But why do you want low fender on xr650l ?

I like the look of the lower fender. The XR650l looks too much like a motocross racer wanna be bike.
    Thanks for your response!

The new yamaha T700 has a low mount front fender, it would be a lot easier to get than a NX650 version. It will require some work though as that bike has USD forks

If you want to look around other bikes from that era that had low front guards were the Kawasaki Tengai. Suzuki DR650RS and the Yamaha XT600z and latterly xt660z

I also like the lower fender look, here is my Kawasaki KLR650 from years ago, took off the rubber fork gaiters added an aftermarket front fender. P1020705.JPG

Thanks for the suggestions, I will check in to it, but I don't think any of those bikes were sold in the US.
