Yeah, that isn't the kind of attention you want to be drawing to yourself.

The idea that Sturgis is a "Harley event" is a misnomer. For one thing it was started in 1938 by an Indian dealer. All makes and types of bikes are welcome and present, but it does skew heavily towards American cruisers and touring bikes in part because that is the predominent genre of motorcycling culture in the US.

It's a Harley event only in the sense that Harley riders like to get drunk and be annoying on a group level more so than riders of other types of bikes. I can see why it's such a bonding experience for so many.

I was there in 1977 on a Z1 Kawasaki and had no problem. And that was when the real 1 percenters were there. Only pic I have of it. Didn't see any trailers.

If I had millions of dollars I’d have one fat cruiser , but there are a bunch of bikes in line ahead of that one.

Right now, there are a ton of employees in the automotive business who are doing that dance now that they don't have to sit inside the Vegas convention center for SEMA.

I've never had a million dollars, but I did have one fat cruiser... I bought it with 4,000 miles on the clock. During the "why are you selling it" chit-chat, the owner said he wanted to scratch Sturgis off of his bucket list. After borrowing a buddy's bike to learn to ride, he bought a Harley, went to Sturgis with his friends, had a good time, came home, ticked off the bucket list, and sold me the bike.

Is that your Zed first bike on the left hand side?

Looking at the webcams it appears to me that morbid obesity is the health issue in the forefront here.

I'm not sure if that one is mine. Four of us had them and there were several others there. There were only about 50k people there and it was crowded. I can't imagine now.
