I am going to be in Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai area over Christmas from around the 14th Dec and hoping to be in Laos for the New Year till about the 18 Jan is anyone is going to be about for a beer. Laos may change for dates depending if i can get a rental to take over the border or have to fly into Vientiane Wayne
If you can't find what you want here.. Check out www.gt-rider.com Most comprehensive information on LOS and Laos. A lot of input from local expats living in LOS. Cheers Brian
I'm in Chiang Mai too. Wonder how many of us are here in the North?? Drop any of us a line and I'm sure we can sandbag you with some good riding...
Hey all, I was going to make a new post about this but it looks like the OP has already posted what I wanted. Any bikers in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai who want to meet up for coffee with a biker gal from the U.S.? (me) I'm not on a bike on this trip but would still be fun to meet up with a local. I'm in Chiang Mai until the 30th, after which I'm going to Chiang Rai. I'll also be Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Btw the roads in Thailand are fantastic! My motorcycling blog is here: www.adventuresinfinite.com.
Chiang Mai Riders Corner is a good starting point to run into local CM bikers = http://www.riderscorner.net
Hello guys, This may not be the right thread but here I go : I have a friend living in BKK looking for cool road/off road lessons and fellow bikers. Any ideas ? Thanks !
He/she could try here: http://www.xtreme-enduro-thailand.com/xtreme-enduro-tours-pattaya They are based in nearby Pattaya.
just back from riding in Laos last december...dun forgetto ride from Luang Phrabang to Boten border....fantastic ride....mix of gravel and asphalt.....
Had seen quite some options on the road to the three pagodas pass too. Though we could not even find a cross bike to rent in Kantchanaburi....
I am currently doing all my weekend riding in Kanchanaburi. Nice tracks and scenery without being too far from Bangkok. I know of no rental shops that have suitable bikes for rent there.
Well seems it will be croweded as Myself and wife should be riding around that area close to that time o a DR 650
New member of the forum. I live in Trang and just bought a Honda PCX 150 to get me around town and the area.
Anyone know a good place to buy bike tyres around Mae sot I should need a 120/80/17 dual purpose or knobby when I come out off Myanmar
I don't recall seeing any specialist tyre suppliers when I was in Mae Sot last winter. One option if you know where you are going to stay is to buy from Bangkok or Chiang Mai and have the shop send the tyre EMS to your hotel. A reliable supplier in Bangkok: Ek Paiboon Yangyont.
