Hey Crushers, I'm wondering how many 950/990 wingnuts are in this forum that live in Ontario.(snowy one)(youknow the one up north)(CANADA)
I'm trying to organise some KTM specific rides for the remaining of the season(all two weeks of it:cry ) and next season:thumb . You know like the Beemer guys do, only faster, dirtier and of course much, much preetier.:sweeti
These rides will include everything from logging roads to knarlious extremus and everything inbetween.
    Maybe some training days.....
There are so many trails.....so little time.
We can establish a registry system, or even form a club. Much easier to source competend dealers and have our concerns heard when there's more than one person involved. (insurance discounts?)
    Tech days......ADV tours......naked(wife) bike washing......trail maintenance....naked(husband) bike washing:eek1 ......group purchasing discounts....
I have many ideas on how to make this fly, as I'm sure most of you do too.

    Let me know who's interested.
    :lobby

    Cheers,
    Alex

    Canada, eh?

I hope you're just as enthusiastic about shoveling snow and splitting wood.

I hear ice fishing is popular up there too. :D

Ontario is a big province. Where exactly are you located?

I love snow!!! I love splitting wood!!! I like ice drinking!!!(fishing optional)
I also love riding all year round we have those things here called S-N-O-W-M-O-B-I-L-E-S just picture three dirt bike strapped together and tracked and of course fourwheelers.:norton

All kidding aside, I'm close to the GTA and although there are not many trails in the immediate area, there are so many areas that are within an hour or two of the City. How far south are you?

I'm about five hours south of you (and I ride a GS at the moment) but we have a place in Combermere where we spend quite a few weekends.

It seems to be dual-sport heaven.

You may want to team up with Rally Connex as they put on several events in Ontario every year. Waiting for them to put one on in BC, Canada's dualsport paradise.

I'd definately be cool to have some GS's along (so we can see what we are not missing:evil )
If you guys head up this way PM me and we can exchange notes.

Yes. I've heard about the Connex guys, great bunch of people never rode with them but a couple of buddies did and loved it.

I was thinking more in terms of forming a KTM club for all those unfortunate souls that'll be needing grin surgery soon. You know that way we can have common trail mapping, rides, etc.

We're thinking of a left coast tour next year any pointers?

    Cheers,

    Alex....

I got your back bro :gun1

TEAM KTM Ontario (AKA: Total Knock Out :sweeti).... ummmm, we better find some hot female KTM 950/990 riders here in Ontario if we're going to use that moto!!!!:lol3

Weeknight rides (training - as you like to call it) anytime. We can simulate Dakar stages.... although soft sand might be hard to find. Wait, I just remembered... there's a big sand box next to the elementary school down the road :evil!!!! In the meantime... we can stick to attacking the urban jungle - seeing how it takes hours to leave the city on weeknights during rush hour - not to mention the reduced number of daylight hours this time of year! Saddly, there's always next year. At which point: (leaving downtown) Gardiner West to 427 North - you're on dirt roads within 30mins!!!

    See you on Saturday.

    Michael.

    BTW:
All the guys riding KTM's in Ontario will probably be easier to find over in the regional fourms - I see you've already found some of us there.

Good, you're in. Maybe you can teach me a thing or two about sand and we definately need to find adventure chikitas they have needs too you know?
I'm trying to get my Godess in but she'd rather stick to things on all four:evil .

As far as trails, we've mainly been riding north east but there's so much out there.

I'll try to post this in our local forum too, when I figure out how to use this damn thing.

    See ya Saturday dude.:thumb

Dude it'be an honor to ride with you, bet you can teach all of us something new.

How do you like the idea of a club format? I know we need a lot of people involved and it all takes time, but it's for a good cause.

BTW, I've watched all of your FlannyVision clips and I think you ROCK.:bow
I've learned so much about my bike it's not flanny...I mean funny.
This is the type of comitment I was talking about.

Looking forward to more of this.

We seem to be getting people from all over, I can imagine what we can gather If we get to it.

We need to get organized, maybe a meeting to get an agenda going?
    What do you guys think?

Yeah, for sure! I'm a dirt noob and only have 2500km on my 990. But I'm into going wherever... to get dirty. I'm going to check out the first bit of that Bimmer ride that starts in Brantford on Saturday, gotta peel out around 13:30 though and hightail it back to the city. Next weekend or days I take off I'll ride anywhere. Oh and that Flanny guy, gotta meet up with him sometime! LOL

Awesome, we'll catch up Sat. It should be a nice day.

I'm off early too, damn weddings.:dog

For sure we can organize something interesting before the season's over though.

Dude - you're making me blush.

I'm not really down for the whole club format thing, but if you dudes ever get out this way let me know.

I may also know the odd backroad or two.:evil
