I really like that setup but pricey as hell and comes with its own drawbacks.
The points I wanted to address with mine are:
    Retain stock exhaust location
    One filler
Tail lights and rack incorporated with tanks
    Luggage mounts built in
    Easy on/off
    Subframe reinforcing

...now you see why I keep on puting it in the backburner
    :lol3

I guess if you kept it someplace well protected. but an expensive piece that I would avoid.

I made some of my own dc adapters with dc step down transitor thingy's I bought off the internet somewhere and left over usb wires and stuff I seem to have many of.

If you could buy all your gadgets with this in mind you could get ones with the same connectors or the same batteries and make it simple.
The computer would be the toughest but the stepup that DRCool posted would be the ticket. the other ones are simple step downs that would be $20-30 at the most.
I just charge my shite while I ride so no need for a cord and the satelite radio runs on the aux battery while I'm drinking beer at the end of the day.:freaky

Interesting discussion on AC inverters and such. Years ago I attempted to use a smaller 150W inverter to charge up the cell phone, computer and camera batteries while camping. It was on a BMW K1200RS. What I was finding is that the inverter sucked enough juice out of the 12v motosickle over night that it was noticeable in starting the bike the next morning.

As a result, I would only use it when riding, I had it stashed in the lower compartment of the tank bag which had a BMW 12v electric kit in it.

Considering how much juice it takes to get the 950 fired up on a cold morning, I would be very careful of the non-running load but on the batt.

you'll find you only get about 80% charge when running on a non sine wave inverter. but the charger will heat your tent a bit. :lol3

someone has to spend some time spinning this thing at the camp at the end of each day, how that person is picked can be left to straws, trail performance
beer supply quota, age...whatever you decide

    poor soul rain or shine
by the end of the ride this person will have zero arm pump problems

Requires a gpr or similar exhaust but it looks close to completion...I've been keeping a close eye on his progress. It doesnt have the tail fender with it but was thinking a Baja Designs kit would work (like Flanny has on his bike). I use a Giant Loop so it'll still work for me and the rear luggage rack stays with either solution so I'm good there as well. I have no fab skills or I'd do it myself, instead I rely on others :cry

The plan is to run it off a second battery on the bike :thumb

An added unintentional plus maybe :rofl

I have a Baja Designs tail that's cut to fit the back, you're welcome to come take a looksy and see if you like it next time you're in the area.
We should be able to get to the tail within three beers

Here goes a long shot.....instead of leaving for a well planned trip I m in search of a dampner rod for a fork (2004) or a set from any other 9x0 adv.

What's the chance that one of you lads has one lying around or knows where I could pick one up in a timely manner.

    Thanks
    :huh

Mine is bent and snapped...ktm no longer sells the part. Spent way too many hours to find this out. Same thing in the US and Europe.

Looking like I'll need to find a fabricator. Tomorrow I get calls back from a few suspension guru's in the US and here, hoping they have a part "lying around" but it looks doubtful.

Heading north and taking my truck for a week of dusty roads tomorrow, might pop in and say gidday if we pass through town Gord....if you discover a missing fork it wasn't me :rofl

I haven't camped out of truck in years, did you know you can bring a cooler and a barbecue :1drink
