I would like to tag along if my sched permits. I’m mostly free on Sunday mornings. Where will you guys meet up?
Oh, I’m old, slow and just getting the hang of riding offroad.

I know I said Sunday but how about Saturday at 10 AM? Meet at the river bend in Verdi. https://www.google.com/maps/@39.520163,-119.9673203,15.25z About in the middle of the screen you can see "109", There is a new little parking lot and a gate for the new housing construction, across the road there is parking next to the river. We can meet there. I might just ride there or truck it in, we'll see. May just be me on a 450XCW or one other guy on a 300. Iv'e got a good 3 hour ish loop with a little bit of everything.

Schedule permitting I’d really like to get in on this ride too. (I’ll know tomorrow if I can).

I’d have to ride down from Truckee via Henness Pass. It’d make for a long day, but I’ve been wanting to ride this area and doing it with someone who’s familiar with the trails would be really great.

Question: I’d be riding a 350 XCF-W with a stock tank. Would I have enough fuel for the 3 hour-ish loop? (I know I can fuel up at Boomtown before and after the ride).

I’m in my mid 50s, lower level, intermediate rider.

Stock tank would be fine, it's not really that many miles, but some of it is just slow going.

I definitely would not be able to ride Saturday. I’ll be working in the am tomorrow and will be on call for Friday night. Saturday is training and recovery day.
Anyways, would still like to tag along on the next ride. Would my 1090r be okay on those trails?
Hope you guys have an awesome ride!

@sharpie1, It was nice to meet you today. I just wanted to say thank you for leading a really fun ride. I had a fantastic time. Great, varied terrain, a nice pace, and fantastic views. I’ve wanted to ride that area for awhile and I’ll definitely be back.

@tahoeacr, It was great to meet you today as well. I really appreciate you picking me up and hauling my bike down to Verdi. I’m not sure I would have made it without your generous offer.

Looking forward to doing it again.

Took a little ride with @renogeorge and Jubal earlier this week. Basic route: over Monitor, 395 to north of Bridgeport then dirt to Twin Lakes. Twin Lakes to Bridgeport (ice cream), dirt to Virginia Lakes Rd to Conway then into Lee Vining...end of day one. Jubal left us at the top of Conway Summit and headed home, only to blow his bike up by the Flying M on the return trip!

Day two found us exploring the area between Lee Vining and Benton. The purpose of the trip was for George to scout a good spot to set up a base camp to explore the area. It was a beautiful day, except for the afternoon when we somehow rode into the furnaces of hell! It was hot.

    Few pics:

I don’t know what George was looking at, we were navigating by front wheel!

No motorcycle toll so we just headed out.

I believe this is Crooked Creek road we were on. Didn’t really matter since we were just following the front tire!
